Lol and Merilly try to persuade Jane to return home, after she's run away to live with Rowenna. Rowenna forcefully takes her father's ashes away from her mother and hands them over to Angela. It turns out Rowenna is Joy's daughter and returned to the area to be with him at the end. Rowenna makes up a story to get Lol suspended. Huw unearths the plan that is being hatched, the Saint at the Cathedral is out, and the idea is to get a Demon in residence during the absence, to create a dark shadow over the Cathedral. The overall aim is to take down the Church, to discredit it, Jane is manipulated by Angela to make a speech condemning the Church, Rowenna aims to kill Jane too.
Merilly digs deep and discovers some disturbing truths, someone she thought close is rotten to the core. The ending provides a shock.
The first two parts had been utterly fantastic, dark, gripping and hugely energetic. The third part was very good, but slightly less enjoyable then the first two parts.
Enough good material to make it watchable, what a shame that just only a million viewers tuned in.
