[7.2] Oh, he squeezed too hard!

Warning: Spoilers
Episode 3: Same repetitive old with another storyline of course, but it's starting to very slowly degrade storyline and plot-wise.

The only interesting characters are the trio: Lucifer, Decker and Martin. The rest are snails just wiggling.

Also, the scene with the repressed angry Lucifer was fabulous and gets the big chunk of my rating.

Yes Detective Chloe Decker really is that egotistical
ygwerin127 October 2022
Is imitation really the sincerest form of flattery, certainly Lucifer Morningstar most definitely doesn't imagine so, when he discovered that someone is attempting to tarnish his brand image?

Detective Chloe Decker most definitely wants her cake and to scoff it all herself, for she desperately wants to be seen to have solved every case on her own, so she goes out of her way to avoid accepting any offers.

But she is not averse to doing so as surreptitiously as she can manage, but she is not necessarily as good at it as she imagines herself to be.

"The future of football the American Dream, honest, heroic, resilient, we kept your involvement in a girls murder out the press, we got you out of jail, we will always protect you, and make you a bigger star then ever, this is Ty Huntley rebranded".

So speaks one Joe Hanson the head honcho at CRAG the sports PR agency representing their 'Star' player, this USA sport encapsulated as Hanson and his admiring company executives subtext is, "This is how we (this company) will get even richer off your back".

But is Ty Huntley really that naive, innocent or as squeaky clean as he professes to be about the ways and pitfalls of the professional sports industry?

Will the REAL LUCIFER please stand up?
VPenndragon25 March 2020
In the middle of a murder investigation of a Hollywood ingenue, and involving up and coming football player Ty Huntley, Lucifer discovers there is someone out there, "ruining the Lucifer brand", and his identity. Upon learning that his "sexual reputation" is taking a hit as well as his personal reputation... Lucifer hires a fixer, Ronnie Hillman, to rectify matters. Oh how the malfeasant reprobate will fall!

When Dr. Linda Martin quips that Lucifer is in denial, he quips in return... No. That's a river in Africa. Great writing ensures yet another bloody well-done episode in a FANTASTIC series!

Love it when Lucifer finally focuses his anger on the one who needs to be punished... and is NOT as innocent as they proclaim to be.

Interesting look at the concept of identity, self-image, and identity theft in this episode.

Like looking in a mirror! Not!

Warning: Spoilers
Another great episode from what is shaping up to be an amazing show. Very funny but also thought provoking and a touch scary when we see an angry Lucifer towards the end of the episode. Tom Ellis gives another epic performance as Lucifer, the scene where he confronts his would be impostor is particularly funny.

Lucifer is a lame buddy cop show for kids and teenagers.

Warning: Spoilers
Lucifer is a lame buddy cop show for kids and teenagers.

Episode 3 spoilers: In the first minutes of the episode you can admire Luci as he tries to make an adult virgin to admit that he wants to have ...sex. After a couple of failed attempts the virgin admits to it.

Next we have a cute scene with the little girl who thinks Luci is a magician.

Then, a corpse in a pool and the not-so procedural police work begins. Lame comments, who only a kid could find witty. The usual humor which have seen a gazillion times in other buddy cop movies and series. The lamest CSI unit ever, not to mention the arrest of a suspect without even reading his rights (thus not-so procedural!).

Afterwards the ...Lord of Hell whines about an impostor who stole his identity while mumbling nonsenses at both Maze and the Shrink.

The police drama ...sorry comedy continues in the classic buddy cop movie fashion.

Next a couple of scenes with the Detective's ex, so the actor can justify his paycheck, while a cheesy song about ...Lucifer is playing in the background.

Luci gets the impostor saying the least terrorizing things ever and then sets him ...free!

5 minutes before the end and the usual revealing of the actual killer is taking place in front of many people. Luci (or should I say Lucy?) gets to show his super-strength or telecinetics power or whatever, so the kids/admirers could feel that they didn't waste 45 watching this crap!

That's a river in Africa

Warning: Spoilers
This time around we only got specks of actual plot development, while on the other hand a lot of filler content. Chloe's family situation keeps getting trickier as her husband makes a step forward towards her and then seems to make 2 backwards. Chloe is also starting to believe what Lucifer is claiming to be, and she is analyzing both his physical and psychic powers. Lucifer's human side is getting bigger by the day, as he is starting to help innocent people due to them influencing his soft side. Linda, now Lucifer's lover, is a staple in the series giving insight into on the former angel and his late change in attitude We also get a bit more into who Maze really is, showing how ruthless and sadistic she can be
