Getting better and better
Loma7229 May 2019
Warning: Spoilers
For the first time we hear about the infamous deal with the devil, which obviously implies repercussions that Lucifer doesn't feel responsible about. A clan war is the outline for this episode, where there are betrayals and love affairs. Our main character seems thrilled by the chance of feeling pain after the latest developments. Chloe plays hard to get with Lucifer. Linda is lured towards Amenadiel, who pretends to be a therapist himself to learn about Lucifer's confession. But the clear kingpin of the episode is undoubtedly Maze, since we see her true ninja abilities, but more importantly how she's feeling betrayed from Lucifer who is getting closer and closer to Chloe, exactly how she's doing with Amenadiel, and, as biggest lore reveal, we learn about her purpose and true look

[7.7] Big hello Chloe!

Warning: Spoilers
Episode 5: Starting to grow on me thanks to the (very) good acting, with charisma and chemistry, interesting and funny situations and storyline's plots and the semi-serious (funny) flow.

I didn't like Maze in the first episodes, but!, she grew on me too and the 'chapeau' of the episode is near undoubtedly her.

Her fighting skills shown as shadows as well as her outerwordly speed made her a treat to hear!

"People would kill for these shoes"

Fashion BS the fashion industry is shot full of hype and hyperbole, and in this episode its personified by the fashionista Benny Choi, "Artist, Activist, Man of the People" as I said brimming over with BS.

Ever since Detective Chloe Decker revealed to Lucifer Morningstar that her superior police officer was a woman he has been interested to know more, now he has seen his opportunity to ingratiate himself in Lieutenant Olivia Monroe's good books.

Lucifer finally discovered some small clue about the secret Palmetto case, that has blighted Detective Decker's police career.

Brother Amendiel has been somewhat desperately endeavouring to encourage Lucifer to return home, and he is persisting by trying to encourage the erstwhile defender Maze to assist in his quest.

Amendiel decided to masquerade as a Doctor to get closer to Linda Martin, but I have to ask her why she didn't bother to ask him for some, kind of authentication of his medical qualifications.

In oh so many of these kinds of yank cops shows they seem to enjoy showcasing the plentiful supply of guns on use in the US of A, it really reminds me that the country really hasn't advanced that much from the days of the Wild West.

The answer to just about every bodies alleged problems is for people to run around tooled up, waving a gun in the faces of their 'opponents' to prove their points, and then simultaneously whinging that they "are the innocent ones" and they "didn't really mean anyone any harm".

If Detective Decker really doesn't give a monkeys about Lucifer's existence, just why is she so keen to ensure that he comes to no harm?

Cause & effect; intended or not
croakedit27 December 2019
This episode, written by Sheri Elwood, explores the themes of Devil's favours - the consequences of favours; cause - effects, and also accountability for said favours. Lucifer considers significance of mortality and how it changes things. The episode unveils more detail about the relationship between Lucifer and Mazikeen ("Maze") and showcases Lesley-Ann Brandt's talented portrayal of Maze. An interesting cookie is that about 24 mins into the show there is an aerial view of some warehouses. One in quick focus has writing on the roof, "To walk among the crowd and go unnoticed; to hide in the shadows and be loved." This is a sentence that perfectly describes Maze, who she is and what she wants. As with many Lucifer episodes, there is the jovial carefree facade, but underneath there is some depth for those wishing to dig it up.

Go Maze!

Warning: Spoilers
Another great episode, this show just keeps getting better and better. So many layers to the plot, the characters, you really need to watch each episode at least twice so that you don't miss anything. Maze showing off her full on demonic skills is a real highlight of this episode.
