Always entertaining.

I liked this episode and, overall, I love this entire series though I am very late getting to it (like 9 years late). But I wanted to comment on the idiotic reviews left for each episode of seasons 3 and 4 (at least) by the same goob in 2020 who seems to think they're some kind of serious drama critic and uses the same template for each "category". They're poorly written, boring and useless. Just pathetic. But Orange Is The New Black is incredibly entertaining. I am not of the demographic for which this show was created but I'm loving it. And, no, it's not a fetish thing about girls-on-girls or women in prison.

Some places are good and some places are a little slow and bad

Orange is the New Black Season 4 Episode 4

Review : With the 4th episode of Season 4, I think the story is getting a little slower. The episode could have been better if some more elements had been added to the story or the story of this episode.

Acting : Everyone has demonstrated good enough acting.

Direction : The director also did a good job.

Story : The story of this episode can be said to be a little slow and slow. For the sake of the writers, I would like to say that I think you may have tried to drag the story of this episode a little bit. The story seems a little boring somewhere to enhance the story in this way.

Dialogue : The dialogue is fairly good.

Background Score : Although some episodes have good background scores, the backgrounds in these episodes are quite low.

Soundtrack : The soundtrack in this episode is good enough and it can be said that it is for this soundtrack that it feels good to hear the end of the episode.

Cinematography : Good enough like every episode.

Editing : Pretty fine.

Lighting : Good.

Overall Episode : The episode has seen a combination of good and bad. Judging by all, I was able to give this episode only seven out of ten stars.

Some storylines work, others not so much

I am glad I am watching this after the hype and although I am not the target audience for this show I do find it occasionally funny, even LOL at a time. I had to overcome the first series which was poor and formulaic, but I more or less enjoyed most of the rest.

However, some of the characters are better than others, my favourite this season being Red and Alex Vause, who's so much better without the link with Chapman, one of the negative points of the show. I am not surprised her role was reduced, because she just go worse by the minute.

Despite the attempt to introduce a serious theme like the Muslim/Jewish conflict, it looks like the authors don't know how to handle it and they relegated it to the background, which is just as well, since the tone of this show should remain lightweight despite the settings.

The weakest narrative is the King/Healy plot. Healy is the scapegoat of the show, the toke bad, old white male, more a caricature than a real character, despite the failed attempt to give him a sympathetic background. What I don't buy is that he must force Judy King to give a cooking class. The woman is a celebrity chef and it looks like she enjoys being the centre of attention. What best occasion than that? Yet they make her reluctant, so that Healy can be the baddy, again... didn't like how forced that was

And regardless of other opinions, this is a voyeuristic show, titillating male audience with the gay sex scenes and the occasional heterosexual.
