During the early stages of development, 'Sariel' had been thought of being mostly a Voice Over role. When 'Daniel Lench' auditioned, he was so animated that the character was reworked to include him in most all of his scenes with 'Cailean', he became a figure dwelling in the shadows,
Editor (Maritza Brikisak) was struggling trying to find out a 'clean' hospital background sound for the Hospital scenes of the film. Her cat Charlie, who regularly rests on the computer while she edits, got over excited playing and bit her arm deep enough to send her to the ER where she had ample time to record with her phone the background sounds.
To focus on her performance, Maritza Brikisak (Filmmaker) Executive Producer, Co-Writer, Editor, Graphic Designer and Lead Actress, opted to hire a company to film her movie, Director is a contract job.
Actress Carmen Gloria Pérez who plays 'young Cailean's' mother 'Linda', worked with 'older Cailean' Maritza Brikisak in 'Enredadera' (2009) years earlier. They didn't meet then because they didn't have any scenes together.
Executive Producer Maritza Brikisak insisted on minimal use of prosthetics (appliances) during the make up trials for 'Sariel'. She didn't want to hinder Daniel Lench expressive reactions.
