NPNIO is a story of a village which is very calm and quiet with lovely people and friendly police. The village turns out very messy and violent due to the foolish acts by the four policement in order to avoid a transfer to the neighboring village. Arulnidhi played the male lead and Ramya Nambeeshan played his love interest. He was very good at his role and delivered a nice performance whereas Ramya Nambeeshan as usual, just appeared in song sequences and very numerous scenes. Singam Puli, Bhagavathi Perumal played the lead comedians in the movie but they were totally boring and some jokes were tickling. Heard that the movie was based on / copied from a Hollywood movie but the lackluster screenplay wasted the whole movie. Dialogues were boring. Scenes were not registered.!! Totally a whole mess No songs were hummable and the background score was below par. I will give a 3 on 10 for this boring effort.

Good comedy laced with sarcasm

Warning: Spoilers
Creative story line. Good comedy throughout the movie. Can be watched with the entire family. Although there is not much scope for the main cast to perform, the cast does not act badly either. All have done well. Music is not bad either. The songs are nothing to write about. A good light-on-the-palate movie. The director has done a good job lacing romance in between the not-so-serious story. *******Spoiler alert: The only letdown is that I expected the policemen to reveal what actually happened in order to prevent things going from worse to worst. But it never really happened. A good message lies in it: Acts that you consider trivial might have huge (bad) consequences even if your intentions are right.
