Warning: Spoilers
I actually really enjoyed this episode. It was a really pealed back, character driven episode that I felt is going to pay off great in the long run. There is 2 main plot points that is happening in this episode.

The first main plot point is Felicity trying to deal with her new situation. Through this plot line we get to see Goth Felicity once again. This was a really fun story line while dealing with the seriousness of her injury. It really addresses how afraid she is of her new injuries and how she thinks she will have a negative impact on Team Arrow. I really think that the use of Goth Felicity was great. We got to see how much she as a character changed from collage to the present day and how the injury has put her further away from what Goth Felicity would of wanted.

The second major plot point was a good character development between Diggle and his brother Andy. We get to see war flash backs of the Diggle brothers in action which I thought was really great. We also were introduced to a new villainous team of Shadowspire in this flash back and learn that it is indeed Shadowspire who are operating on Lian Ya where Oliver is located in the flash backs. Shadowspire take over ARGUS HQ, with Diggle, Lyla, Andy and Amanda Waller inside. This is the first time we get to see the brothers in action together, putting together a great plan to get both of them in the control room where Lyla and Amanda are located with the Shadowspire soldiers. A main event that happens in this plot is the killing of Amanda Waller. I thought they did this extremely well. Amanda is a character that we see throughout the whole series but is still a mysterious character. This makes her sudden and surprise killing a major surprise that really makes you feel like you have lost a character that is a relevant part of the show. There is however no confirmation that she is actually dead. The reason to why she was killed off is also in question as well as many don't know if the show was asked to remove her due to her character appearing in Suicide Squad or if the show decided by themselves to remove her. Either way she appears to be gone for now. My prediction is that Lyla will take over ARGUS, giving her more of a bigger role on the show. Overall it was a great episode. I really enjoyed the pull backed episode. I really enjoy character driven episodes and TV series.

Super Fun Episode

I really enjoyed this episode. Getting to see some flashbacks of Diggle and his brother, Andy, seeing how things evolved, getting into Shadowspire, ARGUS, and seeing Lyla return were all pluses in its favor. But I think the best parts, for me, were getting to see how Felicity Smoak dealt with the aftermath of the attack and her injuries, see her fight her inner demons (in the form of herself) in some great scenes, see Oliver and Felicity struggling to find an even ground and still pull through together. I totally loved that Felicity finally got her codename -- a great selection, by the way -- and that Oliver was the one to give it to her. It just makes sense. Very interested to see how, exactly, the flashback stuff ties into Damien Darhk and HIVE. You know it has to.

Overwatch

Both Arrow and Flash took a step back from their main villains this week in what was clearly filler for both, but Flash definitely got the better of the two outings. Sure, we had some cool singular moments in tonight's episode, but it was a very weak episode overall. That's unfortunate, because I usually like when we get a bigger focus on Diggle and Felicity, but it just didn't come together as well as it should have.

The Diggle-centric episode revolved around a former organization called the Shadowspire, in which Andy Diggle was involved with back when the brothers were overseas in war, and their plans against ARGUS. I know the idea behind having an episode with the Diggle bros was to get us to care for and trust Andy more, but I'm still not there. I just simply do not care for the character. Heck, even the flashbacks focusing on them didn't do much for me. But perhaps having Baron Reiter show up at their base will add something new to the current dull flashbacks we have, who knows.

Having ARGUS in the episode meant bringing back Amanda Waller, who has been noticeably absent from the show for quite a while, only to have her be killed by the generic leader of Shadowspire. I'm sorry, that was easily the most anticlimactic way to kill off big supporting character of the show. Sure, she can still come back in the flashbacks but I feel like there were plenty of directions you could have taken her character in the present day. I can't help but think its a result of the Suicide Squad movie and Warner Bros possibly asking the show-runners to not have her on the show to avoid confusion? Possibly.

The highlight of the episode was definitely Oliver and Felicity's dynamic though. I think they have finally recaptured that relationship to what made it so great in the first place. Seeing Felicity battle her old self was a little strange at first but it grew on me as the episode progressed. The code name Overwatch seems fitting for a hero whose powers are her brain and watching over the entire team. But by far what made the episode was the mention of Oracle as the nickname that's "already taken". I never expect to see Batman or any of the Bat family to appear on the show, but the subtle references are always fun to hear.

It's also worth mentioning how good the stunts and fight choreography were in the opening truck scene and the final ARGUS fight. But overall, this was clearly a filler episode that didn't do much to further the plot at all, but it had a few redeemable qualities.

+Fights

+Overwatch

+Oracle mention

+Possible life given to flashbacks

-Anticlimactic death to Waller
