A great Christmas episode! Although not exactly the show that screams holiday spirit, it was an okay episode, with a fair amount of the mood of Christmas!

Hayley finds Jackson in the bayou. She wants them to be together for Christmas with Hope. Elijah has offered money to some ocean workers to find the case Rebekah is stored in. One of the men says there must be valuables inside and they should renegotiate with the payer. Elijah comes and kills them all then takes out the stake in Rebekah. Back on the compound, an asian woman drains blood into a cup for Klaus. Klaus says he pays her well to feed him and put on an ornament every now and then. The compound is decorated beautifully with a Christmas tree. Rebekah comes home and in the room that Cami stayed in, Hayley and Rebekah hug. However Rebekah has a strange mark on her wrist which maddens her. She becomes rude to Hayley and her eyes turn dark. Freya is followed by some men but Jackson saw and helped her out. Freya was poisoned though and Klaus says he needs to go save his sisters. The family get pure silver and mugwort as instructed by Freya. Back in their apartment Jackson understands now why Hayley always runs to the Mikaelsons. It is hard to stand by and ignore when someone needs help. Jackson has a surprise and takes Hayley next door. The Mikaelsons are all dressed up and waiting for them. They have a small party with baby Hope. Rebekah realizes she has to leave. They have to pretend Rebekah is still lost in the ocean. She texts Elijah before she leaves the city to meet up with him. Her mark is coming back and she pulls out a stake. Elijah stakes her as she wishes.
