What's up with Pike's brain?
ououzaza23 March 2020
I mean, what's wrong with his brain. The level of stupidity is over the top. Watching this episode brings me annoying vibes. Like how can people be this stupid??

I do it every day
tenshi_ippikiookami18 March 2016
After the surprising plot development of the previous episode, "The 100" keeps the tension and the stakes high, and offers another great episode.

We are back at Arkadia, where things are going bad fast. Pike is obsessed with the "us" Vs. "them" and is bringing everyone down with him. There is a nice dialogue were Kane brings up the issue of distrust and fear that is becoming generalized in Arkadia, and how Pike's view of things is turning people against each other.

But the episode offers much more than just people having conversations, even if they are quite interesting ones. It is also an action packed episode, with everyone hiding something, and everyone trying to push their own agenda, in a subtle or obvious manner. And Bellamy's character is once again developed in interesting ways.

If the "us" Vs. "them" wasn't enough, we also have some interesting new tidbits about Alie's plan, and a very good moment with Raven.

"Terms and Conditions" is an amazing episode, and one of the best of "The 100", leaving things in place for a, what seems it's going to be, a very interesting second part of the season 3.

Disappointed in fans
anonymous219318 March 2016
Warning: Spoilers
Wow, I am very disappointed with any of the so called fans of this show. While I don't necessarily like the direction it's gone this season, and I hated what happened with a certain someone last episode (I'm equally as disappointed about the reviewers and raters for that episode as well by the way), this episode was VERY good. I loved the suspense and the way the characters grew during this episode. The acting was great, the writing is better, and the plot is finally going somewhere (the writing isn't really at fault, I just don't like where it's going, writing is still very good). I can tell you for a fact the only reason the past two episodes have done poorly ratings-wise is because of what happened last episode. (SPOILER WARNING) But character deaths, even one as big as her, should not effect how you see a show. For those of you saying it's being disrespectful because they didn't acknowledge what happened last episode - they did that on purpose. They focused on Arcadia this time, so they can focus on Clark next time. Shows do that all the time. It's not disrespectful, it's called pacing. This episode was just as fantastic as all the others, better for this season. Don't let character deaths change how you critique a show.

Overall excellent episode, disappointed in fans
alexkelly-737351 April 2016
Warning: Spoilers
First off i would like to start out with addressing the episode itself, i believe this was a very strong episode with good character development and really focuses on the sky crew more than the grounders which is refreshing, considering how much we have seen of the grounders. Personally i found Lexa's death to be a bit lacklustre yes and it probably was not the best way to get her written off of the show but I'm not all that phased by her death and i can easily still enjoy the show for what it is with her gone.

What is truly a shame is the fact that if you click this link: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt4799894/ratings?ref_=tt_ov_rt you can see that ratings are heavily favoured towards 10 stars and higher rating such as that. However thanks to a bunch of fans that are seriously overreacting to the death of a beloved character (have and of you seen game of thrones ha ha) the rating of this episode which was a truly strong episode is being weighed down by all of the 1 star reviewers who are not giving this rating for the quality of the episode but are actually punishing the episode for what happened last week. Me saying this is probably going to anger a lot of people off too bud I'd also just like to point out that if you look at the ratings in the page i provided you can see the average rating that females gave is roughly 4 whereas the average for men was a rating closer to 8.

Why is everyone hating this episode?
smitht-7374323 March 2016
Warning: Spoilers
This episode of the 100 is one of the best of this season. It perfectly demonstrates the versatility of the writers. I think people have gotten to attached to the fighting, killing and maiming version of the 100 but I personally love that they have involved politics in this one. I also enjoyed the fact that Raven disobeyed that woman in the red dress (Cheers Jasper). Hopefully Jasper stays away from 'The City of Light' because he is now growing on me. Obviously Clarke did not feature in this episode which again shows the versatility of this show and the characters. Bellamy and Monty will hopefully turn on Pike in the coming episodes and save Kane from the death sentence that he received. Keep up the good work!

You must have to have a certain level of maturity to watch this show.
eighmii28 June 2016
Warning: Spoilers
Listen, I'm a 27 year old lesbian who knows good and well not to gain attachments to lesbian characters in mainstream shows because they always die.

I just started binge watching this show a week ago and it's now one my favorite shows ever. I ALMOST Didn't EVEN START WATCHING IT ALL BECAUSE OF THE SUDDEN DIP IN RATINGS. I'm so glad I gave it a chance. Yeah it sucks Lexa died. It would've been amazing to have a sci fi version of South of Nowhere going on. But the backstory and the long term mystery of the entire series is actually starting to get interesting. It got away from the real sci fi stuff for a while, and now it's coming back.

TL; DR Lexa's death was major for plot development (although I'll admit they could've done it better) and it's not the end of the world.

Hopefully,

More Bad Writing (Not to Mention Boring)
meanyowen11 March 2016
Warning: Spoilers
Despite the (inaccurate) summary for this episode, Clarke isn't in it, meaning the entirety of this episode revolves around the Arkadia/Bellamy/Pike story line, which is by far the least interesting and most frustrating story line this season. It's a rehash of season one, Bellamy's character is so wishy-washy, Bellamy's character development (regression) makes no sense, and Bellamy's inevitable redemption arc (which this episode hints at) is undeserved considering the atrocious crimes he's committed this season (and even in this episode!). It makes no sense that a character like him who has messed up so much and has been one of the bad guys all season is going to get a heroic story and more respect than characters like Lexa and Kane and Lincoln who have been consistently punished (without sign of that stopping anytime soon) for being nothing but good characters striving for peace. What kind of message is this show and this episode trying to send?

Not to mention, the fact that Clarke wasn't even in this episode and we don't get to see her grieve for Lexa is a complete disrespect to her and Lexa's relationship AND the progress for peace the two of them have made politically this season. Sidelining them does just that - sidelines them, and you can't sideline a main character like Clarke. She's the /main character./ The writing this season has taken a turn for the worse, in ways that make no sense (Bellamy's entire character arc) and ways that are downright offensive (the perpetuation of the lesbian death trope with Lexa's death).

After the just plain bad writing of the last episode, this episode was important for judging whether or not this show and this story can be redeemed or if it's all downhill from here. And trust me, there's now no doubt that it's all downhill from here.

A complete waste of time
boodle-7288612 September 2016
I've recently become quite obsessed with the 100 and so far I consider season 3 to be the best season yet, but I found this episode disappointing. First of all, Clarke, who is literally the main character isn't even in it and we're stuck with a bunch of boring secondary characters for the whole episode. I was really looking forward to seeing how Clarke was dealing with the loss of Lexa and resolving the major cliffhanger regarding this from the last episode, but instead I had to sit through 45 minutes where pretty much nothing exciting happened. Even some of the more interesting characters such as Abbey who could have easily been featured in this episode were absent. After a bit I was finally getting used to the idea of having an episode without Clarke, but was then disappointed again when nothing else interesting happened. To me the only excuse for having an episode like this was if it was going to include a really major plot point, but there wasn't one. It just went on, and eventually I began preoccupying myself by throwing balled up Kleenexes at the characters I didn't like (which was most of them). This episode was a waste of my time and by far the most boring one of the series so far.

Don't believe the negative reviews, people are still mad from last week's problems.
jadzb16 March 2016
I agree the way they handled a certain character death last week was executing poorly, but the fact that a lot of people are giving one stars for this episode based on that is so messed up. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I checked myself and a lot of the reviews are from members who just made an account this week; just to attack the show with bad reviews. I personally loved this episode, and I love the direction they are going with the A.I. and messing with Raven's memories. Pike is also a good villain for this season, because you understand where he's coming from, and sometimes he even sounds right. It's interesting how things will be played out. The tone has remained the same in the show, don't let one mishap effect your perspective of the show from now on.

What actually happened?
sasisarahmac11 March 2016
Warning: Spoilers
Really? The only thing mildly interesting about this episode was Raven. They have really ignored her progress this season (even though she's been getting more screen time lately) but it's good to see her in the light again (no pun intended).

I think the writers needed to put more thought into the layout of this season. If they wanted to have two plots running, they should have given them equal screen time. Now, without the Polis scenes it just feels empty and I'm not really interested in anything. The past few episodes had so much action and the plot has been so well developed that this episode was so anti-climatic. And this is supposed to entice? Make me wait through a hiatus to watch Ep 9? If I was a casual viewer, it probably wouldn't work.

Also, Clarke? The main character? Where is she? The way the writers wrote them so far this season, her and Lexa have been carrying the whole show, kill one off and the other is absent? That's another way this episode is just bland.

They really needed to think this through more. I've come to expect so much from the writers because what they have been doing this season has been excellent... not with this though. Disappointing to say the least.

Other Opinions based on previous episodes
Adam-Piper14 March 2016
This was a pretty good episode, people are rating badly because there salty because of what happened last week, overall the episode is well structured and interesting keeps your attention and you don't know what's going to happen next, it like a battle through in tell it was a very different episode than what they have done in the past, but very well done. The episode contains to people on opposite sides of the same fight trying to work there way to get rid of the other while others try to stop them both and one is more ruthless than the other, it seems these too are playing a game of chess and everyone else is just there pawns.

Boring
codecube3810 March 2016
Warning: Spoilers
Boring, boring, boring. Not only did they kill off the most interesting character last week in the laziest way imaginable, they followed it up with the most anti-climactic episode yet. It's just a bunch of people at the ark arguing amongst themselves about the best way to get food (which is completely stupid, considering if they just stayed in the alliance with the grounders, they would have food). Plot holes everywhere caused by the laziest trope in the history of television and film: miscommunication.

When this season started out, it had the potential to be the best one yet, and then in one episode they completely destroyed the foundation they were building this season on. I might stop watching, I couldn't care less what happens from this point on. The city of light storyline is boring. The arkadia storyline is boring. The only interesting one was Polis and now that they killed off the commander to replace her with another one, I'd bet anything that that's going to be boring too.

Sigh. This was one of my favorite shows. Looks like the showrunner's success went to his head and he can't be bothered to think of a decent plot.

Great episode
dmtab11 March 2016
Warning: Spoilers
So first and foremost this episode is completely set on Arkadia and that's absolutely wonderful. We had the time to really see Arkadia's storyline and as viewers we seriously needed that. The acting was incredible. This was a really tense episode where everyone, regular or guest, shined. I particularly loved Bob Morley's interactions with both Henry Ian Cusick and Michael Beach. We literally saw him change throughout the episode. It was so good but very subdued, all just through small gestures and looks, and therefore all the more powerful and moving. I'm not ashamed to say I cried. Lindsey Morgan was also very good on this episode, Raven's scenes were essential to the development of the story. Also, is it too weird of me if I admit I'm really proud of a fictional character? Go Raven!!! So, all in all, what's not to love? We got Monty, Lincoln, Miller, Raven, Jasper, Harper and Sinclair. We got amazing acting from the whole cast and Bob Morley at his finest. I can't wait for the next episode.

Finally A Breath Of Fresh Air From This Season
haileerob111 March 2016
Warning: Spoilers
Seeing as I know some unhappy fans will come and give this episode a low rating because their favorite character/ representation was killed off in such a way that makes you step back and question the "progressiveness" this show claims to have, I feel like I should note that last week's crappy writing does NOT reflect in this episode's storytelling, and low reviews might hold bias due to the fandom's overall anger that's directed at the writers, and thus should not discourage viewers from watching this show.

This episode was honestly one of my favorites of this season, and I'm surprised to say that because there was the absence of Octavia and Clarke, both of whom I really enjoy as characters. This episode, however, did just fine- even more than fine- on it's own without either of them. This episode had me sitting on the edge of my seat in anticipation as I watched on, hoping (but not expecting) to see some characters who I felt were being mistreated this season turn their arcs around and getting down to business. And it gave me everything I needed to make it through these next two weeks of hiatus.

(SPOILERS) We were finally given a kiss scene between Miller and his boyfriend (which would've happened two episodes ago but I digress), we were given the beginning of an uprising, we were given Bellamy's turnaround (albeit at the end of the ep) and we were given Raven turning off her allegiance to A.L.I.E so she could try and save the love that the living held for all of those they had lost.

I truly loved the plethora of scenes we were given of the delinquents interacting with each other and being given actual roles into the storytelling instead of merely playing background characters to it. They (the delinquents) are the foundation and heart of the show and I'm not afraid to say that THAT is what we've been missing this season. We had it in season 1 at the dropship camp and in mount weather while they were being held prisoners, but it's been lacking in season 3. These interactions are what really made the episode for me.

Also, the acting in this episode was phenomenal, and I'd really like to give a standing ovation to Bob Morley for his portrayal of Bellamy. Just WOW. This guy is Emmy worthy and I don't hand that compliment out recklessly. I was blown away by his performance this season, and that did not fall short this episode. Without Bob, Bellamy truly would've been so OOC that anyone watching would've scoffed at throughout the season, but his expressiveness without the need for dialogue really saved this character arc for me. At the beginning of this episode, his acting had us so angry with him, and he was able to portray Bellamy's conflicted emotions and heartbreak so well. We didn't even need Bellamy to outright say "I'm going back to the right side", we could just see it at the end of this episode through both his expressiveness and the implied dialogue.

Lindsey Morgan also did a great job, her acting just made my heart break for Raven.

Jarod Joseph and Chelsey Reist should also be acknowledged for their great acting and I cannot wait to see Miller and Harper kick ass and take names later this season. They are both breakout stars this season (aside from Devon Bostick and his portrayal of a PTSD victim, which was a great job) and I can't wait to see where their characters go. I can't wait for them to do the same with Monty.

Negative reviews I've seen have claimed that it was "anticlimactic" and I don't see that at all. To each their own, but I really felt like this episode built up suspense in such a way that has me very invested for the episodes to come, and it's something we've been needing this season because all we've really been given are episodes that just try to blow up the essence of "shock value" and I think we've all seen how terribly handled that trope is by the writers. The build up was anything but boring and it has had me biting my nails in worry over the future of the delinquents and their new home.

The only thing missing from this episode was that there wasn't enough of a grounder's perspective which could've been utilized via Lincoln. Aside from that, I absolutely liked the storytelling and I hope the writers stay with this trend rather than revert to the somewhat lazy storytelling they've been using in the past four episodes or so.

I'm very excited for the next episode and I haven't been for this show in a while. Can't wait for the next one!!! I just really hope the future episodes won't disappoint like the trend has been this season. Only time will tell.

Powerful episode!
aishuagit11 March 2016
Warning: Spoilers
Contrary to a lot of beliefs, I thought this episode to be a really good and powerful one. I for one missed the essence of the show. The show in Season 3 has lacked the bonding and character interaction which had drawn me into the show in season 1 & 2, however, this episode had the people and the characters I missed.

THANKYOU for giving us Monty, Lincoln, Kane - they are the leads but the 7 episodes in this season have not had much of these faces. Happy that they were included.

Kane is amazing. His character development since season 1 has been great and I would hate to see the writers mess up with his character. This episode was no exception, he was great. Stood up for what he believed in - and although he was sentenced to death, he got what he wanted i.e; Bellamy is finally on his side!

(If Kane dies, I swear to all Gods I will be one of the most annoyed people on this planet. He is the most sensible adult on this freaking show.)

Bellamy is back! I mean, not entirely, but at the end of the episode we see him coming back to his senses. The writers messed with his character and I was not pleased. The reason why I liked this episode was because everything the writers messed up with in the first 7 episodes is coming together now..

Freaking Pike, man. He's a nutter. Total nutter. Absolutely loathe him and his ideologies and can't see how he was a freaking teacher in the Ark because he is so utterly stupid. How does he think that Arkadia is going to benefit from going to war?! There are 12 grounder clans who are waiting to WIPE them out and he's insisting on fighting. IF he truly did care for his people he would have given himself up because there is no way that is going to end on a good note.

Raven has come back to her senses with the City of Light and we know that she will be one of the first to get everyone else to their senses too, Bellamy (as we can see in the 3x09 promo and the last bit of this episode) is on #TeamKane now so he'll be doing good, they have given screen time to the leads, FINALLY.

I haven't mentioned a lot of what has happened in the episode, but the ones that I have listed are the ones that most seemed to have appealed to me. Good episode! Waiting for more Arkadia action, especially Clarke & Murphy returning back.

Strongest Episode Yet
andeashl10 March 2016
Warning: Spoilers
I don't have enough good things to say about this episode. Was it absolutely perfect? No; but I don't believe in absolutely perfect episodes. There's always something that could be better.

Notwithstanding, this episode was stunning! The acting from the cast, both minor and major, was superb. The pacing was solid, and there was something for everyone to enjoy.

We got to flesh out more of the boiling conflict taking place within Arkadia, and we got to see a beloved character beautifully but horrifyingly realize that he's on the wrong side.

Here's to hoping Bellamy, with the help of Monty, Harper, and Miller, can save Kane, as well as Sinclair and Lincoln, from their seemingly inevitable fates.

This show represents soo much to soo many people. It's not just about a lesbian that died; it's about all of the homosexuals, the bisexuals, the mentally ill, the physically handicapped, and much more. This show is truly the underdog of public television.

I'm rooting fervently for a Season 4; Lord knows I can't handle it when beloved shows end without finishing their stories.

So boring, so pointless...I fell asleep
wutheringmona11 March 2016
Easily one of the worst episodes of the series. More of the contrived Arkadia plot line where character motivation, logic, and any semblance of intelligence is completely absent.

Pike continues to be a one-note caricature villain, Hannah a sociopath, Bellamy a brainless sheep, Monty inexplicably going along. To be honest, they could bombard Arkadia and I would not miss most of the characters (I would save only Raven, Abby and Kane). Ship them off to Polis with Octavia and Lincoln, revive Lexa, have Clarke shampoo her hair and lets all just forget about this other nonsense. None of the delinquents aside from these mentioned are captivating enough to have a lot of screen time.

As for the City of Light, Becca made it compelling with the flashbacks but I heard that will be the only one, so we are stuck with Jaha pontificating from now on again....and I find that barely watchable. Season 3 is a disaster.

Finally back to The 100!
kismet7610 March 2016
Warning: Spoilers
This is probably the best episode of The 100 up to this point, in season 3. The story so far has been mostly about Polis ant grounders politics, but with this episode the focus goes back on the Sky People, finally, and on the Delinquents. The story goes back to Arkadia and the original characters. The episode is fast - our favorite characters are all in a dangerous situation - and it closes with a big twist. Best episode so far. Negative reviews are due to Lexa fans disapproving of the treatment of their favorite character, and actively trying to boycott the entire show because of this. The show is definitely good and this episode in particular gets it back on track for an explosive rest of the season.

We are back!
dressmango11 March 2016
Warning: Spoilers
This show is so great! We are back at Arkadia and the focus is again on 'Skaikru' and the delinquents. Bellamy is getting himself together again (well, okay in the end). Marcus learned so much on the ground and his character evolved so much. This episode showed us that 'the 100' is more than one character. The acting is great and I sat on the edge of my seat over nearly the whole episode. We have the rebels, Harper, Miller, Marcus and later Sinclair and the government, Hannah, Pike, Bellamy and Monty (well...and Bryan...). When Marcus stops the Rover because of Bellamy, I thought that this is the best example for how much his character has developed. He stops, because he still believes in Bellamy and in the end of this episode we all know that he was right all the time. I'm really excited for the next episode.

It's a game of chess
rohan-chugh10 March 2016
Warning: Spoilers
Oh boy. This was a phenomenal episode. Maybe the best of the season. The strength of the 100 to me has always been it's character motivations and relationship development. Both were on display tonight.

The set-up involves two messengers telling the Sky people that they'll leave them alone if Pike is handed over. (*Cue all the parallels to Finn last season*) Central to the episode is the cat and mouse maneuverings between Kane and Pike.

Meanwhile, Raven is trying to get more information on the missing Ark station and conscripts Jasper. And reminds us of why she's the best, buy overthrowing the calm acceptance of ALIE.

In an episode where the writing, video editing, composing were so fabulous, Bob Morley stole the show. It's incredible that this man still doesn't have an emmy, his dramatic range is fantastic.

10/10, watch it.

The Delinquents are back!!
jlama-5555311 March 2016
*Spoilers ahead*

Raven Reyes completely stole the show! For so long I have stated that raven is one of the strongest charters in this show and she defies time and time again the misguided quote that love is weakness. Love is what made Raven capable of breaking away from ALIE's hold, it is what brought her back. Definitely an amazing episode for her. Also the banter between Jasper and raven played out incredibly well.

We also had the first kiss between a biracial M|M couple, which is always great!

The episode was dominated by the POC of the show which is a welcome change from the last few episodes.

Once again Bob Morley's acting was impeccable and you could see in his eyes the moment that bellamy switched back to the right side. The dynamic of kane and bellamy's relationship was amazing this episode, both actors did incredible on scene with one another

Returning to its roots for the first time in a long time.
viewerliz12 March 2016
Warning: Spoilers
I will admit, I'm not fond of Lexa's exit. But it is what it is, and the show has a right to move forward. I think getting to explore minor characters that were once main characters is fantastic, really seeing Kane shine as a character (and see how far he has come since season one in his beliefs), as well as his relationship with Bellamy—who has been in a terrible spot for this season, but finally realizes the error in his ways through Kane. I am so glad the show got renewed. I want it to continue, I want this story to develop. I think, unpopular as my opinion might be, that the show as a whole is stronger after losing Lexa. It could have been very strong had she remained, but seeing how these characters, particularly Clarke, are impacted by her death, will be quite interesting.

I am rather ashamed of the people who feel the need to boycott the show. I understand the sense of betrayal they're feeling and agree they were wronged by certain individuals in the show's leadership. But to attempt to take the entire show down, to put Eliza Taylor and the rest of the truly spectacular ensemble cast out of a job after losing one (albeit, beloved) character is rather juvenile. I hope the show and the cast remains resilient, I hope any needed corrections are made in leadership, and that it continues to shock and enthrall us with its diversity and twisting storyline.

It's been sloppy of late, but shows go through low points. I think it will come out of this better than ever before.

If the plot continues this way, I hope it get's canceled.
KongKristin11 March 2016
Warning: Spoilers
There was so much stupid in this episode. It truly gave me a headache. It was like watching Sharknado. Honestly. I just kept screaming at the screen; "RUN HIM OVER KANE! JUST FU*KING RUN HIM OVER!" "KILL HIM NOW KANE, GET IT OVER WITH." "WHY ARE THESE STUPID BRAINWASHED PEOPLE STILL ON THE SHOW?" So much stupid...

To be clear, it's the writers that made this episode stupid, not the actors. The acting was great. Many of the actors have really grown into their parts and are doing a great job.

And finally, I love this show, I'm absolutely hooked. But this last season have been sub-par, with each episode worst than the last. This episode just the latest in a seasons of disappointment.

I'm not enjoying saying this, but if this trend of sucking continues, I hope this show get's canceled.

We're focusing on Skaikru and that's a really good thing
chesleyanne-8205411 March 2016
Warning: Spoilers
This is probably the best episode of the season so far. It caught us up on what's been happening in Arkadia while Clarke has been in Polis and it drew lines in the sand for who will end up on what side of the Skaikru's civil war, while leaving some that could switch sides (see Bryan). As another reviewer said, this episode felt like a breath of fresh air after previous episodes. The lack of Clarke and Abby is the only reason this doesn't get 10 stars from me. The only reason people are negatively reviewing this episode is because they are still upset about Lexa last week, which I get to a point, but this episode brings the show back to it's roots with it's focus away from Grounder politics and back on what's happening with our main characters.

Kane, Bellamy, Monty, Raven and Jasper drive this episode and that is such a relief after a guest star was pushed as a main character for weeks and weeks. Also, finally Bellamy is coming around to the realm of the sane. Unlike some people who seem to not know anything about Bellamy, this is not an all is forgiven situation. If no one else will, then Bellamy will hold himself accountable for every death he has caused while under Pike's influence. Trying to do the right thing and working toward redemption doesn't mean forgetting what you've done wrong. It's turning yourself around to be better than you've been, and I have hope that that is what we will see from Bellamy in the coming episodes. Also we basically know that Lincoln will be killed because of everything that has been going on with the actor but hopefully we'll be able to save Kane in the next episode.

Also, can we talk about Raven breaking ALIE's control? Because she is amazing and I love her. Really loved seeing more about Monty and Jasper's friendship on the Ark too. Here's hoping Raven does not slip back to ALIE or at least doesn't do anything that will help her too much. We shall see. All in all, this episode was a great way to go into the break. It creates drama but it also brought Bellamy and Monty back to the right side and sets up the rest of the season in a better light than I had hope for after last week. RIP Lexa, but I have hope that your death will mean something in the coming episodes.
