A comprehensive show review ...will definitely be missed.

Well, that was it a six years journey of a possibly real-life LeBlanc sarcastic life style and we really loved it.

Oh, i can't believe it is over, The finale was expectedly not a huge boom but it was so real and gave us the conclusion on how this show is probably would've been made in the first place... with that tense relationship between writers and actors.

The show had its ups and downs but it was with no hesitations on of the most consistent, funniest and real shows I've watched over the last 6 years, it had that sense of tense comedy blooming out of normal daily Hollywood routine, so you couldn't help yourself but laugh at their struggle "on getting richer and making more money" lol.. but overall the whole show was a new genuine idea and it kept the fast comedy style rhythm at high level and that showed with the high ratings all along the season.

The cast well, i don't think there's need to talk about the cast more, Matt was amaaaazing by showing the "real" typical Hollywood stars lifestyle and with both Stephen Mangan and Sean Lincoln they all created an unforgettable image that definitely showed Mr.LeBlanc as much more than just a "Joey" and he is... the other characters were all amazing, engaging and convincing ,, so a round of applause.

A one separate line of appreciation goes to David Crane and Jeffrey Klarik the creators and writers of the show .. i mean man !!! that was a real success that couldn't get any bigger, bravo.

Finally i'd again salute the Full Cast & Crew for giving us such a a breath of fresh air that we loved and happily lived with for the past few years.

Episode 7

Warning: Spoilers
Episodes never got the accolades or online praise I felt it deserved. To me it is up there with Veep, Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Mindy Project and The League as my favorite comedies of the 2010's.

This was a good-ish season and series finale, but not quite what I had hoped for. We got the Matt, Sean and Bev bickering and jabs we've gotten for years, but for some reason too much time was devoted to Helen and Carol. This wasn't the big deal, the super couple they thought it was. Considering this wasn't an extended length episode, why dedicate so much time to it.

Episodes will surely be missed, but it definitely went out on a high note with one of its best seasons.

Perfect finale doesn't quite cut it!

I will admit, I was dubious going into this final episode, as I have loved the show from the start. But I must admit, I thought one of my favourite shows was going to be given an,"unworthy" ending. Boy was I wrong! From being fans of the Green Wing, Friday Night Dinner and a beloved fan of Episodes, my hat is off and tipped. This show belonged on showtime, and thank you to showtime for letting such a show entertain us. No gratuitous nudity, I know, but plenty of swearing from Bev & Sean, who do make cursing sound like "a cup o' tea". But going into this episode knowing it was the finale, I didn't really know what to expect.. I have to admit, I thought it was absolutely Perfect! Thank you all involved. A show I will re-watch when I want a guaranteed laugh.

The Final Episode
Prismark1019 July 2019
The final episode of Episodes continues with a final cynical look of life as a Hollywood writer.

It seems like it was such a long time ago when the late Richard Griffiths played a cameo in the first episode as the actor who had to audition for a role in a proposed US sitcom. It was a role he played in the UK for years only to be usurped by Matt Le Blanc for the US remake. It should not be forgotten that Griffiths role was actually based on himself when it came to his role in the hit stage play The History Boys.

It finally dawns on Sean just what a selfish turd Matt actually is when he passed on the show that Matt helped create. Both Matt and Beverly confront Matt and tell him exactly what they think off him while Lapidus looks on cheerfully.

The episode loses impetus in a long scene where Carol and Helen sort out their differences.

However Sean uses his new experiences in Hollywood for an idea for a bitter, cynical new show. However backstabbing Matt can never be written off when a good script is doing the rounds.

A nice end to the series, but to me id did not quiet go out with a bang which it was promising to do early on in the episode.

Underwhelmed...

Warning: Spoilers
Contains spoilers throughout!

Well, after 6 years of one of my favourite shows and a killer cliffhanger at the end of last episode, I went into this with high hopes. Honestly, I was incredibly disappointed. I was hoping for an interesting twist as to why Matt passed on the script, but it was simply due to him disliking it, so instead of a new narrative to follow that would end the show nicely, we got the same old 'Matt does or days something wrong, and Sean & Beverly hate him again...', like, how many times can we do this?

And what was that whole thing with Carol and Helen? We only saw their relationship briefly on screen and it was a disaster, why spend 10 mins of the finale on a relationship nobody was truly invested in?

And that meta ending, oh my god I could smell it from a mile away, the moment Sean started typing on the laptop. The whole breaking the 4th wall trope is so cheesy, and didn't fit in the finale in my opinion. Also, that final scene with them all in the theater watching the pilot? We got a couple of giggles and Matt going in for a kiss as the FINAL SCENE... did the pilot go well? Did the network pick it up even though it's pretty much a show about how s**t they are? I get that they were going for an open end, but none of the questions left unanswered are exciting or worth exploring, it just left a lot to be desired - which I guess sums up my feelings toward this finale.

I will absolutely rewatch the show in the future, but that finale will always leave a bad taste in my mouth.

Farewell Episodes

Dark and sweary it may have been but the quality of the performances given throughout this shows 5 year run cannot be questioned.

This final episode wraps things up nicely, and is beautifully meta right to the end.
