Fred Savage back on TV - hooray!

A really smart and funny pilot episode.

It's lovely to see Fred Savage back on tv in an acting capacity, and his chemistry with Rob Lowe is good value.

I don't know how they're going to make this different episode on episode though.

I only wish we were a Nielsen household

My fiancé and I are both attorneys and we loved this pilot! Yes, a little silly but that's the whole point. If you're any sort of professional and ever had a client say "But can't you just (insert description of something they saw on Boston Legal/Grey's Anatomy/some other show)," this show will resonate with you.

Rob Lowe portrays a self-absorbed TV star lawyer wonderfully - but with enough sensibility that the audience can see that he understands it's a caricature. Fred Savage does a great counterpoint as a brother who actually went to law school and works for a living. (Tho Fred, if you happen to read this, even the worst orators in court do not read flash cards so poorly. Anyone that tongue-tied goes into transactional law.) By the climatic courtroom scene in the pilot, we were laughing out loud.

Lowe's character's legal drama ran for eight years - we hope the creators of "The Grinder" can pull that off; you already have two fans here!
