Waiting for a miracle
kosmasp14 March 2018
A very slow moving movie that does rely on the mood it delivers and on suspense that is created by not giving the viewer too many answers. On the other hand I would understand if some wouldn't even have any questions to begin with. You have to let yourself go with this one. You have to be a real believer if you allow the pun.

Having said that, the movie is not really bad at all. The setting is good enough and the cinematography works for the movie too. The acting is ok, although there is not much to see and as with the pace some may feel it is a bit of a drag overall. So if you can limit your prohibitions and can overlook some of the flaws, you may very well be able to enjoy this

Waiting for...

Warning: Spoilers
Slow movie about a sad young man who believe to be Christ at a lonely desert at nowhere. He walks between small villages at north of Chile telling nonsense stories. And poor suffering people believe him and they had faith again in god.

Watch if you have time but can not sleep. This movie will cure your insomnia (sleeplessness).

Excellently and beautiful

The synopsis delivers more than it should, the film is beautifully poetic, about prophecy and faith, the journey of the young "Messiah", his beautiful parables, the dry and sad scenery, the poverty of people and souls, recovery of faith and hope, so necessary for human endurance and existence, raw, real and beautiful photography, a mountainous and rural Chile unknown to many, excellently well portrayed.
