Conflict
Harun_Karali12 February 2016
Warning: Spoilers
Looks like Clarke has a knack for politics, Can't say I'm surprised, considering who her mother is. I know a lot of people are saying that Pike is annoying, But he fits the storyline, There would be rebels in a perfect world, And considering what happened at Mount Weather, It makes sense that he would want to retaliate. However, Bellamy's choice was a surprise, If anything he is one of the most loyal and devoted to the Sky Crew. I mean it was clear that it wasn't the Grounders that attacked Mount Weather, The Queen even confessed. So why is he mad at the Grounders? Hopefully the writers will work out the rough edges. As for Lexa, She seems to elevate herself every episode. Looks like she can handle a blade as well as she handles politics, If not better.

So much good, derailed by poor characterization
scottemigh16 November 2020
Warning: Spoilers
The vast majority of this episode is exciting, enthralling, and well written. But the misuse of Bellamy is criminal. First they took Finn, an honest man, and turned him into a genocidal psycho. Now they're doing the exact same thing with Bellamy. But Bellamy started out as a pseudo-anarchist wannabe warlord, they spent two seasons developing him into a decent person, and now they're undoing all of that. They could have written the exact same plot, with Bellamy on the right side of things, and it would have been am excellent episode.

Ah pike pike pike... How many things wouldn't have happened if we didn't meet this guy, Would have been a completely different season, For good or bad
Neptune16523 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
In my opinion someone (Pike) who wants to mass murder hundreds of people that aren't actually opposing a threat, can't really be a good person "deep down". I love this season but it's so hard to see Bellamy siding with Pike, even if he's angry and sad he can't just do "whatever the hell he wants" (s1 bell throwback). He has always been a bit of an irrational thinker but this just crosses the line. The Lexa vs. Roan fight though... One of the best things to ever happen on the 100, so BADASS !! Love when Lexa says "I'm the commander, no one fights for me" very very awesome, as well as "The Queen is dead, long live the King". Complete failure of Arkadia's "leadership"- Kane, Abby did nothing, Bell is like emotional child, Clarke is in Polis "helping" Lexa- Lexa is the Queen, she doesn't need help, go home Clarke. So remember how you two thought Pike was kinda cool when he first showed up? Yeah, about that. Skikru and Trikru had all their problems taken (at least until A. L. I. E and the City Of Light eventually comes into play). But Pike just couldn't leave well enough alone. And then Bellamy just had to be incredibly stupid and make things worse.

S U C K this episode

I thought only Bellamy is the wise guy in the show but he made a huge mistake which I didn't expect from him. And I see he is like Clarke. Everyone becoming a monster made me disappointed. I will keep watching the show for Lincoln and Octavia. If one of them becomes like Clarke and Bellamy, I will stop watching the show.

Amazing!

Warning: Spoilers
An amazing episode topped with a great single combat fight to death between Lexa and Rohan.

Those with low rate that dont understand why characters make the decitions they make cant possible pay fully attention to the show when they are watching.

I completly understand why Bellamy is doing what he is doing. He trusted a grounder and for that his girlfriend and over 30+ other ppl got killed. Pike uses his weaknes here to make him do the things he wouldnt do otherwise.

This is such a great series.

Good show with a lot bad character decisions
mturno-3733215 February 2016
The series have a one huge problem, lack of consistency in characters decisions. This episode shows it painfully. Bellamy decision is contradiction to what he did and worked for in last twenty episodes, betrayal to his sister and Lincoln and his tribe, Clarke and actually everyone who trusted him. Things like that are just annoying. But we saw it already too many times in the show. From criminal and anarchist who doesn't care about anyone but himself to reasonable leader when it comes to Bellamy. From reasonable leader to a religious fanatic like Thelonius. From selfless pacifist to a cold blooded murderer in case of Finn and from egoistical killer and maniac to helpful team member and voice of reason in case of John Murphy, from power hungry, ruthless security officer to a sensible diplomat - Kane. It really becomes very annoying in longer term i do know people change but does they really change so often and so drastically? From the beginning of the show i have a feeling that producers didn't hired enough actors. All of plot shifts and surprises they have for us would be a lot more reasonable if they used twice as many people to introduce them. Instead they are using the same characters to do things that are completely contrary for them. And this episode is painful reminder. Bellamy actions are complete contradicion to his character but could fit another member of original hundred that we didn't had too many chances to know yet, resulting with the same outcome. Everything would be reasonable and well written then. Now it's just another bad plot twist and character change that doesn't make any sense especially that his action should most probably get Clarke killed, alienate Octavia forever (maybe even result in her death if she choose to eg. warn Grounders and/or escape with Lincoln) and result in hundreds other deaths, Sky Crew also. Whole scenario from the beginning is full of such bad character changes and i have strong feeling that script was written for a lot of more characters but it's played by very limited actor crew.

In the end i have a theory that original scripts included more characters that take lead roles in various episodes and maybe die along the way or goes into backstage for some time (just as Game of Thrones and Walking Dead were not afraid to kill their characters), but instead producers decided that audience already like first crew so they shouldn't do any bold moves with the show and rewritten the script to save all twists but performed by half of the planned crew. Bad decision.

This is the episode where I started to see the full fledged character Lexa could become
Neptune16523 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Pike and Bellamy are so dumb, it's ridiculous how they decided end with the coalition, I mean, Clarke is in Polis with Lexa making justice about the ice nation attack, she sent an army to protect them, Indra respect them, the whole drama between trikru and skykru is past now, but Pike is treating trikru like ice nation and being this stupid person who thinks the better idea is killing the 12 clans in place of joining them, if I was Lexa I would kill the skykru, unfortunately she loves Clarke too much for this. It's not an alliance. They had an alliance in season 2, as equals. Being a part of the coalition means accepting the Commander's authority and being one of the 13 clans. That would mean that the Chancellor of Arkadia and leaders of Skaikru have to answer to Lexa as the supreme power. Although technically, so did Nia, since the Ice Nation is also a part of the coalition, and she clearly had no such intention. So, their new boss sent an army to protect her new subjects from her other subjects. How weird is that? Bellamy is so weak right now I hate that pike got to him.

If this continues i don't think i will be able to watch this show anymore.
ponku27 February 2017
This episode is the reason i finally made an account on IMDb.

Not everything in this episode was bad. Actually there were quite a lot of interesting moments, and normally it could have been a good episode.

But there were a few things that makes me want to just let go of this show. The unbelievable criminal idiocy of some of the characters and their unreasonable decisions is just too annoying and irritating. It's hard to imagine someone to be so moronic as some of them. Which makes it clear that those stupid decisions they make were just to push the plot ahead.

Like i said, not everything in this episode is bad, but still i give it one star. because this episode is making me not wanting to watch the show anymore, and this is the worst thing that an episode of a show can do.

Back to idiotic story again.
ououzaza21 March 2020
While in Polis, the story is good and moving forward. In Arkadia somehow, the story take us back to Season 1 where idiotic people rules the community. It is super annoying and illogical. People made stupid choice! and that's annoying.
