When Peggy is showing off her engagement ring to her coworkers in 1940, in the wide shots she has her hand down, almost touching the top of the desk she's seated on, but in the close-ups her ring hand is held out in front of her.
There is a flashback to Hampstead in 1940 where an outdoor party is being held with long strings of bright outdoor lights. Blackout rules (designed to prevent German bombers from navigating at night) would have immediately drawn the attention of air wardens and would have seen the arrest of every single person anywhere on the estate - and not just for being responsible for the lighting, but for failing to insist that the lights be put out. The blackout regulations were in place starting in September of 1939, before the declaration of war. Full lighting was not allowed until April, 1945.
All the cars seen in the UK scenes are left hand drive.
The tranquilizer rifle switches between a single shot break apart style rifle and a gold receiver lever action style rifle as Peggy apprehends Rufus.
In the engagement party scene, the caption states "Hampstead England - 1940". As the scene opens, a lady gets out of a car and is greeted by a man in uniform wearing a maroon beret. This is the headgear of the Parachute regiment and was not introduced until 1942.
When Whitney Frost hangs up her phone you can clearly see that it has push-buttons which weren't introduced until the 1960s and not common until the 1980s.
In the flashback Peggy says she will discuss the offer to switch to to the SOE with her fiance. As this was wartime, she would definitely not be allowed to do any such thing. The second issue is that her knowledge of the goings-on at Bletchley would make it impossible for her to serve on the ground in Europe. The average survival rate of an SOE spy was only three months, which means that her capture, torture, and revealing of secrets was virtually guaranteed.
This reveals a staggering lack of knowledge by the writers. Not only does she tell her fiance, but she tells her brother as well, right in the middle of a large garden party. Even though she had not yet accepted, she could still have been gaoled for this as it would reveal that she has a contact within the espionage community.
