Callen uses a glass cutter on the door window so he can reach in and unlock the door. Callen then opens the right side door to enter the house. The camera switches to the inside view of the door and you can see the opposite door was opening and there is no longer a hole in the glass.
When Hetty confronts Callen at home in the beginning, he is on his computer. Once he finally stands up, he slams the computer shut but when it cuts back to Hetty, the computer screen is still reflected on her glasses even though it is no longer opened.
Callen cuts a hole in a door window with a glass cutter. Most if not all building codes and particularly the California Building Standards Code require all residential door glass to be tempered glass. Tempered glass does not cut with a glass cutter, either it doesn't cut or the whole pane turns into a pile of glass gravel.
