Jake' learning curve continues, in pursuit of wacky dealer Red Pete, who's under the influence of drugs, Jake is accidentally tasered by fellow officer Donna Prager. Later suffering from a bit of shock he fails to jump in when partner PC Draper needs his help with two thugs. Red Pete is handed over to DS Moffat, she sets out to collar him, more so when she discovers his home production plant, she's battling inner demons, having doubts about her life, in particular her affair with the Super. Having been burgled three times elderly lady Tilly takes matters into her own hands when a further attempt is made, her actions have a big impact for Prager and Moretti.
A more coherent episode then the first, there seemed to be less splintered story lines, still a lot going on, but it was easier to follow. The Tilly storyline was the best part of it, very sad, but quite engaging.
DI Kane is still a little anonymous, we get a bit more about his character, the demanding, ill father. I am really liking doughnut munching PC Lino Moretti so far, he's funny and interesting, he's a fine figure of a man.
A mention for Alex Beckett, fun performance as Red Pete, totally off the wall.
Dare I say it I'm starting to enjoy Cuffs, well acted, interesting enough. 7/10
