Blood Money: Highly average crime thriller
Platypuschow8 November 2017
In this British thriller a group of 20 somethings hold up waiting for the buyer of their stolen painting to arrive. With a corpse on their hands, no idea when the buyer will arrive and escalating paranoia growing between them can they pull this heist off? Sadly we've seen this before, many many many times. Trust issues developing between our characters and the group imploding from within.

With a forgettable cast, copy & paste storyline and predictable ending there really is little complimentary to speak of in Blood Money.

Elements of horror are teased and I thought for a moment the movie was going to go in a different direction but alas it passed every checkpoint I expected it to.

The Good:

Fairly tense

The Bad:

Highly predictable

Things I Learnt From This Movie:

I still can't see criminals as protagonists! Why in the blue hell would I root for them?

Little blood no money

Warning: Spoilers
The movie revolves around a bunch of "thieves" who after a heist gone wrong they end up with a body in the truck of a car and now they must cover their tracks and get rig of the item stolen before the police catches them.

And that resumes all. i must be honest I hated this one. Why? the actors are very weak, with no talent whatsoever, the dialog is very poor, there is no action at all the whole movie takes place in a house. It's boring but luckily it's short so there is a chance that you will not fall asleep. Finally those teens doesn't seem that they can stole a bottle of juice from a supermarket and when you put that one of them is not able to handle a gun, i mean come on please is too unrealistic for me.

The result of a director with no skills and a group of actors with no experience is only one: a sleeping pill. Good night!

Good old-fashioned Hitchcockian suspense abounds in this cracking and excellent thriller starring rising star Ollie Barbieri.

This was ace and everything you'd want in a Hithcockian suspense film. So taut and tense. Loved it. I think every body should to see this film.

Doesn't quite Do it.

The Plot.

After a botched art heist in France, a group of friends are left with a body on their hands and the police hot on their trail.

They hide the body and make a plan to sell the painting and return home.

But as they wait for the chance to escape from their secluded holiday home, they realize the body has gone missing.

Paranoia and fear sets in and the friends begin to turn on each other.

Soon it is clear there's a killer in the house and the group must figure out who is responsible before they all suffer the consequences.

Very low budget film although they do enough with no money. The female lead has nice big knockers and a BJ face but it's not enough to make thi movie compelling. Especially since she's not naked.

The biggest problem with this movie is that it's all boring talk and virtually no action.

Great movie!

The tension just keeps building throughout and kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. I still can't work it all out completely but highly recommended if you love a thriller with a good amount of horror and action towards the end. My family enjoy this film very much. We watch it again.

A dark and intense thriller. Great cast of young actors and a gripping and well written script. Some really scary moments. Had a real feel of Hitchcock crossed with Shallow Grave. Really enjoyed it and highly recommend. My friend and my family watch this film and all of them appreciate it. Watch it by daylight....

A thriller that will revolutionize the genre: no need for action, just let the characters jabber on and on and on.

Warning: Spoilers
Dull movie with a clumsy plot that moves at a snail's pace. This is supposed to be a thriller about paranoia, right? Rather unexciting and drab for a "thriller". What helps a bit is the pretty exotic-looking female cast, one Danish-Algerian, the other English-Filipino.

Almost nothing happens in the first hour, not even the heist itself is shown (to save money, I suppose). But there is plenty of jabbering while the characters accuse each other of not being trustworthy. It's all rather weak and pointless. The acting isn't that great either.

Remind me again why SEVEN people are needed to steal a painting? It's not like they were stealing a ship. It's not even the Mona Lisa or anything remotely in that ballpark.

And if Eddie the killer was also involved somehow then WHY do they keep talking about splitting the money 5 instead of 6 ways once the guy gets shot by the guard? Can't this scriptwriter count?

Somethings don't stay dead
nogodnomasters26 July 2017
Warning: Spoilers
Six people rob a valuable painting and five people and a corpse end up at the hide out. The details are shaky as to what actually happened as the film was too low budget to include the actual robbery which would have gave us one good action scene at the start of the film instead of a guy reading a map by his headlights. That was a near attention grabber. The ugly painting belonged to Mia's (Sabrina Hansen) father. She was one of the bandits. She dislikes her father because seven months after her mother died, he is with another woman which is why she is stealing from him...and she is French too...I think that was the accent. There is distrust in the group as well as a love triangle that somehow doesn't involve the French girl. They are all sitting around waiting for a guy named Eddy, debating if there is an Eddy like a scene out of "Waiting for Godot." Eddy can sell the painting.

The real excitement happens in the last 10 minutes. All the characters were overly flawed and cliché. I was hoping they all died, but alas, that was not the case.

Guide: F-word, sex. No nudity. PLOT SPOILER: No Zombies.
