- A very brief kiss.

- Two Teenagers slice their hands open to summon a creature. This is only shown briefly but very disgusting and blood is shown.
- A Monster attacks three teenagers. A Girl shoots it several times with blood spurts before a Boy Beats it with a baseball bat gruesomely. The Monster then steps backwards into a bear trap before it is set on fire. This whole sequence is extremely intense.
- This is a very violent episode.

- This episode contains a lot of smoking from Hopper, ( as usual ).
- A syringe is pulled out, not used.
- Much of the episode is based on the dark and cursed experiments of the Hawkins Lab so most of it feels like a drug.
Frightening & Intense Scenes

- Very Violent
- A flash back is show of a young girl who is the daughter of one of the main characters dying of a sickness and it's pretty sad and hard to watch you can skip this but it's show a few times if you want to skip it skip the scene when hopper and Joyce go in to the up side down and you'll skip those scenes
- A boy spits out a worm looking slug thing at the end of the episode which isn't gross but you think he's going to throw up which he doesn't
- Strong violence.
- Photosensitivity warning: near the end contains tons of flashing lights that go on for several minutes
- This episode is extremely intense and very violent. Definitely the most graphic episode of season 1.
- In this episode, the confrontation with the monster is very intense.

- A short kissing scene between Eleven and Mike.Completely normal.
Violence & Gore
- A young girl accidentally snaps the necks of two agents using her telekinetic powers. Later, she kills an entire group of agents causing their eyes to bleed in a disturbing fashion before their bodies buckle to the floor. This is in the dark and isn't lingered on there are some bloody images but nothing majorly graphic.
