The thing about Bosch...
wms-9274120 June 2022
...and programs like it, is that each season basically covers a single story. Little by little, over ten episodes, we are treated to a story which wraps up at the end of the tenth episode.

Thus, as the season rolls on, the episodes get more and more intriguing. By the time one reaches the eighth or ninth episode, it's absolutely riveting, and you just can't wait to watch the next one. The snowball effect, you might say.

This makes Bosch excellent bingeing material. There is no mystery here; we know who the bad people are and the only question is how they'll be caught. Still, it's addictive television by the time you near the end of a season.

Season one of Bosch: pretty good.

Season two of Bosch: very good.

Season three of Bosch: I'm looking forward to finding out.

Jeri Ryan is great in another eventful episode

Veronica Allen pursues her share of the money as Bosch and the LAPD observe.

The plot regarding Mrs Allen is unfolding in an intriguing way as we see her character unraveling. Ryan plays this part superbly and her scenes are a highlight of the episode. It is always entertaining to see a nefarious character up to no good with the hope of them receiving a comeuppance.

Bosch is used well by the writers as always and the episode also ends on a fairly intriguing cliffhanger in relation to the character's backstory.

Other characters such as Irving also have interesting moments.

Visually it tells they story well with the camera and editing, plus the injury make up effects are realistic.

The Poor Suffering Widow
Hitchcoc2 November 2016
Good old Veronica. Good old Teflon Veronica. She manages to throw her weight around everywhere. We found out in the last episode that she killed a priest, but she is fighting to make it look like self defense. Of course, she tried to get the poor guy to hand over money that was donated to the church. Meanwhile, Nash has been wounded and goes to see a veterinarian girlfriend of his to patch up his wounds. She seems to care about him, despite knowing that he has been up to no good. Bosch gets a phone call, and its from a woman who left messages for him, concerned with the murder of his mother. Interestingly, the participants are starting to look after their own butts.
