An enjoyable, but flawed episode of the best cartoon of the 2010s so far.

Warning: Spoilers
Its a good and enjoyable episode. Let's talk about the flaws, first. The episode just feels really short and feels like it doesn't have much going on. While it's not Steven Universe at its worst, there's flaws to it, like any episode of a good show. Here's the story: Steven is having trouble summoning his shield, and Uncle Grandpa comes to his universe. I'll admit, I've heard stupider plots for crossovers. Then, they flat out state that the episode is non-canon. Then, Uncle Grandpa proceeds to sink Sadie and Lars' ship. Then the Gems go crazy and try to pretty much murder Uncle Grandpa. I can say everything wrong with that. The Gems fight for those different from them, and to see them attack somebody different from them is very hypocritical. There's some pretty funny parts about this episode, like Pearl going crazy about everything around her, the fourth-wall breaks and the ending with the checklist of all the famous Cartoon Network characters.

Underrated, even i would say Overhated

This episode is okay. Not one of the best of Steven Universe, but it's pretty funny, just different from the rest of the series (it's not canon, so if you don't like this episode, it's easy to ignore)

Why???

I had no idea Uncle Grandpa was a thing, and now I hate him. Up until this episode, Stephen Universe has been a show where things have meaning because of what came before. There was a continuity to everything. Then the writers decide to have a completely nonsensical episode that feels NOTHING like the rest of the show. Why? Even the writers knew it was a mistake when they had Garnet say "I'm ready for this episode to be over." Me too, Garnet. Me too. This was done for money, not art. And if I had to describe what Steven Universe was prior to this episode, it would be exactly that: art. But with this entry they compromised the integrity of the beauty that came before it, cheapening the series just for a crossover with what I can only assume is a garbage show that hasn't received a fraction of the acclaim Steven Universe has.

This is my least favorite episode by far. There are so many jumps in logic that it's hard to enjoy any sort of joke they throw the viewers' way. It's literally plot hole after plot hole. I'm not sure how anyone can enjoy it, and honestly, it's kind of annoying that they chose of all the shows they could possibly have a crossover with, Uncle Grandpa. They don't animate Uncle Grandpa to fit in with the animation style of Steven Universe, so he just looks like an eyesore in the world. So on top of the annoying random humor, which I'm sure some people enjoy, they also don't try to draw Uncle Grandpa in their style. At the very least, they could have given us an Uncle Grandpa in a cuter style.

This is my review of one the most hated episodes of Steven Universe.

I don't understand why people hate this episode so much. Personally I thought this was one of the funniest episodes in Steven Universe history. The story is that Steven needs help with his powers, and Uncle Grandpa comes to help Steven. It is a bit odd that the first crossover would be with Uncle Grandpa, but Uncle Grandpa is an okay show. Pearl is hilarious in this episode. The jokes are mostly great, and the interactions are fun. The music in this episode is upbeat, catchy. Overall I give this episode an 8/10. It's sad that so many people hate this episode, because it is funny, but then again it is my opinion. So that was my review of Say Uncle. This was my first review.

Worth a look

I was not interested at first, but I ended up enjoying it. The best part are Uncle Grandpa's interactions with the Gems. Pearl channels Squidward, Amethyst gets a dizzying ecstasy from Uncle Grandpa's reality bending and Garnet calmly admits that she's ready for the episode to end. The scenes of Steven in Uncle Grandpa's Winnebago drag the pacing down but the rest of it is really worth a watch.
