Desperate attempt to make Christmas movie
prasun-bheri22 November 2015
Watch this movie if you have absolutely nothing else to do for the day. And also you have not watched Freaky Friday. (but if you have not watched Freaky Friday then you are better off watching that movie first and forget about this one).

Any how the plot is very slow; you will find some key moments rushed way too quickly wile some segments are stretched bit too far.

Plot is completely predictable and there is no element of surprise at all.

I did not find myself laughing out loud, not even a giggle, nor a chuckle at any point of the movie. It just felt bland and tasteless for the most part.

I guess they started production late, with too little budget and rushed to complete by holiday season.

all in all, Would I recommend this movie to a friend? Absolutely not! .

No Charm Or Originality
Christmas-Reviewer12 September 2017
BEWARE OF FALSE REVIEWS & REVIEWERS. SOME REVIEWERS HAVE ONLY ONE REVIEW TO THEIR NAME. NOW WHEN ITS A POSITIVE REVIEW THAT TELLS ME THEY WERE INVOLVED WITH THE MOVIE. IF ITS A NEGATIVE REVIEW THEN THEY MIGHT HAVE A GRUDGE AGAINST THE FILM . NOW I HAVE REVIEWED OVER 300 HOLIDAY FILMS & SPECIALS. I HAVE NO AGENDA.

In this film Mitch Taylor is a workaholic attorney and widowed dad to a 12-year-old son, Robbie. Lately, Mitch is in way over his head, as he tries to be a dad, please his hard-edged boss and become partner at his firm, while dealing with an impatient girlfriend. His son Robbie has problems of his own. The school bully has made Robbie his latest target, he tries not to be a total nerd in front of the girl he likes, and to make things worse, he was unwillingly cast as lead role in the Christmas pageant. Robbie really want his dad to go out of his way this year to make Christmas all it's cracked up to be. Mitch and Robbie definitely think the other has it pretty easy— until a mysterious toy causes them to switch bodies. They are forced to find out what it's like to spend the holidays in each other's shoes.

There was zero to like this film. The plot is a rip-off of "Freaky Friday" and "Freaky Friday" was remade TWICE and they were both much better than this crap.

Billy Baldwin does not have enough charm or innocence to pull this off! Those were 2 things you need to have in order to make this film seem somewhat plausible! He comes across in this like "Someone who is mentally Challenged". His co-star Michael Campion only comes across slightly better!

DOn't waist your time on this. Its a huge bore!

THERE ARE NO PROBLEMS. ONLY OPPORTUNITIES AND UGLY CLOTHES.
nogodnomasters24 May 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Corporate attorney Mitch Taylor (William Baldwin) has lost his wife and has Denise Richards and Jennifer Grant throwing themselves at him. His ignored son Robbie (Michael Campion) isn't taking it as well and has been pestered by a bully at school. Mitch has pressures at work, among which is a bossy boss (Anne Stedman). Pardon my use of the word "bossy" which is objectionable by feminists...but when you see her you will realize I am using the polite word as her character is unrealistically over-the-top...don't blame me.

A stuffed bear left on the doorstep creates a Christmas wish that creates a "Freaky Friday" for Mitch and Robbie with the expected formula results. The film is for kids. It is not as good as the other role reversal films. As a new me-too Christmas film for kids, it fits the bill. Don't expect a lot.

Yeah it was kinda weird

The boy did a great job on this show, he looked confident and did his part well. The Baldwin guy on the other hand....holy crap he was not right for this part. I think that was the killer of the show. They needed someone who didn't whisper throughout the whole film. It was okay

Drivel

Being on the lookout for new Christmas movies, I stumbled on this. Billy Baldwin, Denise Richards, I thought it'll be alright.. Nooooooo, totally wrong

Father and son trade lives, and nothing but dull, poor acting and zero laughs follow. It could and should of been better, even the smallest bit, it's not exactly a new formula for a movie plot

The acting is absolutely shocking, it's laughable at times and it'll be the only laugh you'll get, well.. unless you read Shominy's review. Now that is funny!

There are many many Christmas movies out there that are much better than this. Do yourself a favour and skip.. you'll thank me

This was beyond stupid
loriwallace-9379615 September 2017
This film wasted the talents of many people but those were the people with talent that sat down and watched this crappy movie. Acted in an over the top fashion by everyone who has a substantial role. The writing is a cut and pace job from other Christmas Movies as well as "BODY SWITCHING MOVIES". The one good thing I can say about this film was the fact I did not have to pay to see this.

This was one of those films that you can see every plot line telegraphed. There is no element of surprise in this. One does come up as shock is that it is so bad that I was expecting that this was made by Adam Sandler.

Horrendous

Kid was acceptable but the rest was beyond stupid. I kept asking when is this going to be over? Not one to give up I fast forwarded 15 minutes or so honestly didn't need to see it to figure out this plot. Freaky Friday, hot tip watch that instead!

Cheerful and innocent

Warning: Spoilers
This was a great Christmas movie. We enjoyed it with the family, and thought it had the right amount of family bonding, Christmas cheer, and a nice combination of fantasy and drama elements. The actors were great (even the overblown "French" lady-boss. It was paced nicely, giving us time to think "oh oh... what would I say in this situation?.... What is he/she going to say?!" And I think, best of all, it was kept clean and not a bit vulgar.

I would have liked a more definitive ending to the concert in the movie -- was surprised that we are not shown a great "finale" of same.

Nice to see this kind of movie in this day and age. More like this, please!

Hilarious, Heartwarming, Family Holiday Fun!
shominy-491-65235522 November 2015
We rented this movie not knowing much about it but we absolutely loved it! All of the actors are excellent and, when Dad and son swap bodies, every second is so enjoyable! We laughed and laughed! This is the type of family holiday movie that should become an annual event on TV, like "It's A Wonderful Life". The world needs more clever, fun, enjoyable, family-oriented movies! There are tender, heart-warming, tear-jerking moments, too, which proves how awesome the actors are, esp. William Baldwin and Michael Campion. (This movie is not corny at all.) We highly recommend this movie to anyone who has a sense of humor and loves fun holiday movies! Great family fun! P.S. Extra Bonus: Tom Arnold! We have seen him in so many films and thoroughly enjoy his characters! He is very talented, very funny, very underrated!
