I have become such a massive fan of "Star Vs. The Forces Of Evil", I really have no choice but to review all the episodes now. It's weird because it seems like every modern cartoon I watch that isn't a full half hour of material instead has episodes that are exactly 15 minutes long and not paired with another episode, but we have an exception here. I'm just going to review both episodes in one review and give a score for each.
"Match Maker": This episode is great at setting up more of the series as we get to see Jackie for the first time. The way Marco is attracted to her is so cute and it's weird seeing as how I want him to get with Star badly. Marco's the only one to get an A+ on his test which makes me appreciate how smart he is. This episode has Star accidentally turn her teacher into a troll. She actually stays that way for later episodes. This is one of the funniest episodes with tons of great lines. ****
"School Spirit": This episode has tons of laughs too and we get to see more interaction with Marco's male friends. It seemed like he only had female ones, which is probably why he's shipped with everybody. They seemed to get the terminology wrong with "possum" and "opossum". The later is an animal from Australia while the former is an animal from the United States, I believe. Funny climax with the giant cats and other assortment of traps Star sets up. It's great to see her naïve personality cause so much trouble. ***1/2
