"I'm not Lucas Hood!!!!!"
gplusr14 May 2016
Warning: Spoilers
The tension on this episode went to a whole other level, this episode was well-handled, the storyline with the cult was pretty bad and I'm glad it's finally over with at least a decent conclusion.

What a true way to build up for the last episode, this show deserved a better budget and way more attention than it gets, and of course, with all the material they had to shrink into one season, they should've had the chance to have at least one more, so screw Cinemax for cutting these guys out way too early.

That scene with Hood and Brock was pure gold.

Great ''but''

Warning: Spoilers
The second reviewer of this show already confirmed what is true. I am in disbelief how tame and weak and how many useless scenes could of been cut off from this episode. The highlight of this episode is Brock gets the truth, Lucas Hood is not Lucas Hood. Would of been great if Brock actually went against him now. Kurt's storyline is too seperate from the other storyline going on , don't know why they didn't make this season useful , like the department actually working with Hood and integrate him back to the station. Too many standalone wondering episodes.

I actually liked it

Decent episode to a decent season. Best one overall IMO. I agree with the other two lower ratings. Yeah this show is not believable. At all. But looking past that, it's fun at times. The whole satanist arc was quite disturbing. I wouldn't have been mad had they gave them some more torture there at the end. The nazi arc is meh. I guess nazis are rampant in PA? Here in my Midwest state, I've never seen one. Really cliche to have the brother screwing the others brothers wife. I Don't care for that. On a side note, Eliza dushku makes a horrible cop. Just really bad. But she has aged well compared to jay and silent bob.

Emough is enough.

Warning: Spoilers
The show, although entertaining, has always asked for a LOT of suspension of disbelief. But this one takes the take. A doctor sneaks up on a trained and alerted cop and takes him out, then disappears like a ghost (in a small, closed room), just to sneak up on the second guy moments later, at the same spot. On a guy who is a killing and fighting machine, who is alerted, who has his gun out. He sneaks up on him, in a completely silent room, and takes him out. With a wrench. Then, later, this master stealth doctor gets knocked over by a CUFFED sitting person, and gets hugged into unconsciousness by a second CUFFED sitting person, who does this with his legs. Both had their hands behind their backs. You got to see it to (NOT) believe it. And that's just the main attraction. In another scene, a guy beats up another guy, then walks, barechested and bloodstained, through a dozen of witnesses. Does he get arrested? Do they call the police? Not in the Banshee-verse...

I like the show. But there's a LOT of lazy writing. And it got really bad, this last few episodes.

such bad writing.....

...just to force a heartfelt talk between the false and the real sheriff. The end was good though, Job punishing the guy in a very delicious, non-violent way. I guess like many series before & after Banshee, it's best to end it while it is mostly entertaining. 4 seasons is definitely enough, be cause the quality is descending.
