Interview with the Vampire's Assistant (2015)

SCREAM BLACULA SCREAM actor Richard Lawson sits down for this 13-minute interview that can be found on the Shout Factory! Blu-ray, which teams the sequel up with the original movie. Lawson starts off talking about how he got the role and in a weird twist he was actually renting an apartment from the director of BLACULA. From here he talks about some of the various aspects of filming including working with William Marshall and Pam Grier as well as commenting on what he thinks is better in the sequel than in the original film. Overall this interview seems a tad bit lower quality than what you'd typically see from Shout but there's no doubt that fans are going to enjoy hearing from Lawson. He tells some nice stories throughout the interview, although there's certainly no great insight into the production.
