Delightful and sweet.

Well, this was a delightful little film! I enjoyed the interesting telling of the story, accompanied by interesting photography. This was really funny at times, and even featured some nice action and beautiful scenery. Franck Gastambide was awesome, and yes, he does look like Vin Diesel. I thoroughly enjoyed the film's final moments - that was just so sweet!

Three simpletons, sex obsessions, scatology for an untasteful efficient action-comedy

Warning: Spoilers
The Gastambide system works perfectly in this universe: the three nincompoops in charge - Franck Gastambide, Malik Bentalha and Anouar Toubali - meet up in Thailand for a story that the scriptwriters (Franck Gastambide and Stéphane Kazandjian) have the secret to.

The ingredients are there: delirious adventures, diarrhea-filled dialogue, a few touches of scatology, plenty of obsessions with sex, the use of animals, acting direction that works, alternating situation comedy and action sequences, and a story of friendship and family. Friendship between Franck Gastambide and Malik Bentalha, but also with Anouar Toubali. In fact, of the trio, it's Malik Bentalha and Anouar Toubali who get the job done, providing what's needed with their characters to produce the comic elements. The family is represented by Ramzy Bedia's character as an unlikely cousin (or whatever) who revels in the habits and customs of his host country. Franck Gastambide's character almost manages to be touching, with his pathetic obsession with his girlfriend who dumped him, while he still believes in that love.

Added to this is a plot concerning the trio's battle against a colossus from a local dwarf sect, led by Gad Elmaleh as a hilarious martial arts guru. The script uses the clichés of the genre, with training, then the normally hopeless battle and finally the overcoming of self and victory. This Pattaya doesn't match the brilliance of Les Kaïra (2012), but it's still a good film, in its genre.

Great movie...funny as....

I saw this the other day by accident. And since going to Pattaya for years I figured...what is this about? My background is in kick boxing. So, I figured. Must be worth a look. OMG, it started funny and just got better and better. I had to stop it a couple of times, because I couldn't stop laughing. I mean, everyone gets hit over the head in this movie.

Religion, Parents, Females, Short People, Asians, Ladyboys, Big people and even Monkeys. They all get theirs.

This will be a cult movie. No doubts.

Pattaya is the story of two men who go in Thailand. To get the money their part a small boy at the box thaÏ world cup. For me, Pattaya is the best French movie. The characters play well part their role. My favorite characters the small men. He is so funny when he boxes his opponents. A monkey smoke the weed, it's very original. Pattaya is a perilous adventure. They are very stupid but it was so funny. It's the style of movie that give you the smile when you're hurting. Me and my friends have spoken of this and they likes it too. The story is very interesting. You can't sleep when you watch this movie. I love this movie and I'm going to see it again. If you love laughing, you should watch this.
