There were a lot of questions going into the season finale of Ballers. And while most all of them were answered, I did feel a little bit was left out of this episode. As Spencer grew closer to the decision to join his best friend and colleague in his new business, or accept the promotion from Anderson financial, you got the sense that one way or another the two guys would end up working together. Sadly, they did go with the unrealistic option of rehiring Joe back at Anderson. But at least with their new positions, the business opens up to them a little bit.

Ricky dealt with the arrival of his father, who left him and his mom years ago. As much as all of the stuff his father said to him was true, I didn't feel like Ricky should have listened to any of what his father said. The man left him selfishly, he doesn't deserve to be heard. But I was happy they didn't have the father looking for money or anything like that. Charles on the other hand, had a shortened week as he had a quick change from not making the squad to being a stud again. He was the weak spot this season and I hope to see that change assuming he will be a character again next season.

So overall, the show was solid this week but the season altogether was much better than I expected. I hope to see the show continue to grow and develop going forward.
