I really enjoyed this episode. It kept me on the edge of my seat. All the actors poured everything into the scenes. I think the whole season has been great to watch. I may not agree with everything that has happened in the show but that is what makes it interesting. I think the characters actions were believable given that the show is"supernatural" and not just a normal everyday life that we live. I did think Bobby was going to be in the episode since he was shown in the recap so was disappointed when we just saw his picture. You can never be sure what will happen next. To me that is what makes a great series. I can't wait to see the season finale next week. The promo has me guessing about a cliffhanger and how I'll make it until season 11. This is still my favorite show even after all these years. I am happy the show didn't end after season 5 as some reviews mentioned. Season 7 was my least favorite but still worth watching.

Dean goes full John Wick

This is by far one of my favorite Episodes. Dean was a straight up badass. Wish the fight scene was longer. That could have been Punisher level action.

Great episode, but...

Warning: Spoilers
May contain spoilers:

So yes, this is a great episode, but it's also an example of how Dean has some serious double standards. Because Sam was trying to save Dean, he enlisted Charlie's help and she was killed. Dean blames Sam. But he tricked Sam into letting an angel posses him and Kevin was killed. If Charlie is on Sam, Kevin in is on Dean. And he seems to have forgotten that. I love, really love the character, but sometimes he's an ass that needs to allow others to make their mistakes and stop holding them to a higher standard. Yes, I know the mark is at play here, but there are other times they write him like this.

One of the best, yet has some of the worst.

Warning: Spoilers
There's a lot of mixed feelings in this one, as much as we've grown to somehow like Crowley, I wonder how it's going to be from now on? Love the whole John Wick action done by Dean by wiping out the Stynes but the kid part was bad, and it got worse when he beat tf out of Castiel, and speaking of, Isn't Cas now on his full vessel? Isn't he supposed to be strong af? Really looking forward to the next ones.

Less than the sum of its parts

Dean going full dark and taking on the Stynes is endlessly watchable. I even like the writers fleshing out some internal Styne family drama. I think the episode threads a needle with Dean going nuts while not making him completely unlikeable. They get close to crossing a line with Dean's final cactions but there's just enough text to keep allow for a just desserts reading.

Likewise, the finale of the Crowley section of the episode is peak Crowley but for whatever reason I don't feel like this episode goes anywhere new and feels a bit of rehash of the first couple of episodes of the season.

Entertaining but perhaps the worst angel nerfing

Warning: Spoilers
Cass is an angel right. The same angel that when punched by Dean in S4 didn't flinch. Even with the moc are we to believe that Dean took down Cas so easy. Even worse how in the world did Cass not know and was not contacted when Charlie died. Would he not have been nearer? What absolute nonsense. This would have been easily solved if he got his grace back after this episode, would have fit perfectly but pretending like he doesn't exist is just annoying. Dean going dark side gets worse. But honestly its even hard to know except for the last bit, he has always been brutal, normal Dean would probably not say that Sam should have been dead instead but he sure would have murdered the whole family, now the show also ignores the women except the nurse and conveniently the baby of the family is a fullgrown man.

mixed feelings

Was it an alright episode? Yes. I'm glad Crowley is back to his full demon potential but for some reason ever since Cas got his grace back, the writers have been making him look weak. How does that work?? I refuse to believe he got the crap beat out of him by Dean, mark of cain or not. He's supposed to be a super strong and nearly invincible angel. I gotta say i'm really hating Sam as the seasons go on, he just gets worse and worse. Now with Dean, i get that it's the mark and i have to say it's phenomenal acting but god when he acts like such a dick, it's so annoying. I just want this mark to be gone already. The main reason i'm giving this a semi-low rating is simply because of the last scene with Dean and Cas. NOT OKAY TO MESS WITH MY EMOTIONS LIKE THAT AT ALL!! I refuse to believe this mark has completely taken over Dean. It's like he's giving up and that is not Dean AT ALL. I mean the writers can really do better if they tried. Some of the last episodes in s10 really have lost my interest and i'm hoping s11 will be better.

One of the worst episodes
dimmu-1928516 January 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Why Dean suddenly can kill anyone and in previous deadly encounters with the Styne family is lame?

Why Dean is -once again- killing an obviously not evil person "because the bad in him will prevail"?

Another stupid thing in the lines of "everything is justified" because...Dean vs Evil and ofcourse killing is OK if somehow the "hero" is not in his right mind.

But hey, everything is forgiven for our heroes huh?

Kudos for the teenagers who vote 10/10 because you know "dead was a straight badass", like being badass is all we are looking towards in life.

This series is seriously flawed in what messages conveys...
