Beautiful cinematography, strong acting, and a compelling episode overall with a few shocking moments. As both a fan of the original Wolf Creek film, and a fan of Dustin Clare since finishing Spartacus, this show was at the top of my to-watch list. A great eerie introduction to what promises to be a hooking show!

Mick is back!

During this first episode I was stunned by how rapidly shocking it develops so quickly, it's a refreshing start to say the least. Yet the pacing gradually slows down after the opening credits returning to normality in the crime drama type zone. The cinematography is fantastic and John Jarratt is on form as per usual portraying Mick Taylor, as far as I can tell from this first episode the more involvement from our havoc recking killer the more potential for the series to be a success.
(Lucy Fry) is Eve Thorogood a teenage girl and soul survivor of her family that were killed in front of her very eyes, whom appears to be setting up on a revenge mission to track down the killer. And why not? Sullivan Hill (Dustin Clare) has been assigned to this case and is very unconvincing in his approach to making it feasible that he is likely to find him. The character development seems a little sloppy for Eve early on as I feel she need to be much more mentally drained and effected than she appears. Whether that is the actress not giving quite enough in her performance or the story moving on too quickly it is difficult to fully find the problem here. As for (Dustin Clare) I'm hoping he will become more concerned as the series moves forward, but then again with the amount of cases building up from previous killing or films he really does seem to be looking for a needle in a haystack!
