Lots of action plus emotional ending
Girlyq4 April 2021
I am currently rewatching the entire Hawaii Five-O series. As with any series, some episodes are better than others. I put this one in the good column. Michael Imperioli was back for guest shot. There was a twist that changed perspectives. I don't really get the bad reviews. It's so easy to turn it off or switch channels if it's not to your taste.

Filler, but entertaining
NoPopcornPlease23 February 2017
Granted, there is a feeling of "everything will be alright in the end" , but, still, the turns and twists are spectacular enough to keep you glued to the screen.

There is no Danny here, and the rest of the team is involved in trying to untangle Jerry from a suspects situation, totally oblivious to the mess McGarrett is struggling with. As it happens, exactly when you leave your phone behind, you'll need it badly, and a pacifist is, after all, still a human being (hidden stories and all); likewise, Dr. Bergman.

Previous employment

After watching the first shootout at the barbershop, I'm convinced everyone on the cast with a gun (including McGarrett used to be an Imperial Stormtrooper.

Most Horrible Filler Episode Ever!!!
w-654285 April 2015
Even for H50 standard, this filler episode is just horrible in the quality. There's no context or motivation revealed, just simple and unreasonable "storylines" (I am not even sure about if there're any "storylines" in this episode...) The sub-story is even more untolerable.... If there were Alex/Scott interaction in this episode, then maybe I could tolerate it... I understand that they need to do 25 episodes this season and the quality maybe dragged down by that, however there were some really great episodes in this season earlier, indicating that the show runners have not given up on a potential next season... But this one is just mehhhhhhhhh and it makes me feel less worse if H50 would get canceled later. PS: I can tell that Alex is not having a good time doing this terrible episode...

Ridiculous

Warning: Spoilers
What a ridiculous storyline. Seriously, what in the world. Victim goes accidentally into the barber shop where accidentally a half-criminal and an ex navy seal are chilling. Of course the gangsters find him, although he is on the run and hasn't even a cell phone that could have been tracked. And that is the main problem in the following minutes. No one has a cell phone to call the police. Gangsters firing for twenty minutes and making noise like the US army invading Germany in 45, but hell why should a neighbor call the cops. And this was not a barber shop on a lonely island but probably downtown. Finally someone notices the invasion of Germany and the HPD headquarter sends ONE COP. Of course he gets killed, McGarrett is copying McGiver and they escape. Than McGarrett drives to the evident gangster boss, talks to him and the barber hasn't even reached the next hospital in the same time. In the end the victim is a serial child murderer. Yeah okay whatever. Well than watch it alone. I'm outta here. This is offending my intelligence.

Badly written episode which let down the show.

Warning: Spoilers
**** WARNING: SPOILERS MAY BE AHEAD!!!****

I am a big fan of Hawaii 5-0 and usually it is the highlight of my week, but not this week.

The show starts out as normal and then soon becomes fast paced as per usual when McGarrat is involved. Meanwhile Chin, Kono, Lou and Jerry have their own side story going on which is probably the best part of the whole episode.

The main story with McGarrat keeps you on your toes while the side story keeps you entertained, it keeps you amused and keeps your spirits up but when the main story comes to an end it takes a rather dark and unnecessary turn changing your mood completely.

They could have ended that episode any other way, quite literally any other way but they decided to end it on a dark note.

They could have done a better job and ended it on a comedic note to match the side story and one of the main undertones of the episode.

After I watch an episode of 5-0 I'm usually left feeling satisfied but not this time, I'm left feeling a little sick due to the story line and I'm feeling annoyed because they could have gone in any other direction with the episode like I said before.

It feels like they took this dramatic, dark turn for shock value only.

The only reason I rate this episode a one is because of the side story between the other characters.

Come on!

Really?! The barber says right in the beginning that a good part of his customers are walk-ins, so we have to assume that this barber shop is in an area with people walking the streets. But an army of Armenians is able to fire thousands of machine gun rounds and destroy the whole facade of this shop, stalk Steve and the two others for nearly an hour, and everything with such a noise it could alarm the police station on the main island, but NOT ONE MAN calls the police?!?! Are you kidding me?!? This is ridiculous.
