Just Average

This one's not bad but it's not great either. I found it to be lackluster in the thrill department. It just didn't hold my attention like a horror movie should. Redeeming aspects are the decent acting, and most of all the cinematography was solid. It's a decent enough flick, but it pales in comparison to the original film as well as the remake and other spin-offs that have used the same formula.

wasn't too bad
This sci fi thriller was ok and had a decent cast but could have used a lot more bodysnatchers.still worth a look at.

Horribly dreadful movie

One of the worst movies I've ever seen in my life. Poor characterization, worthless ending, throw away idea, extremely confusing muddied movie...Awful acting.

Terrible
samuraidan0025 June 2022
I love low budget movies. Usually because the premise is good but the budget can't match the ambition, and occasionally the creatively shines through and you find a gem. This is not that. They barely attempt to maintain a plot. My guess is most of the writing was improv. And the things they say we're cringe as hell. For a "scifi" movie they barely hint at an alien invasion and when they do they might as well be wearing lizard masks because they are just mindless zombies killing or turning people almost instantly. The beauty of a body snatch movie is that regular people could be monsters. There is doubt and subtext. Somehow the main cast was even more unlikeable than the monster and just not funny. It's not just not funny the humor is kinda gross and by the end I was rooting for the aliens just to put me out of my misery.

I only started to watch because I read that it was filmed in Indianapolis, but I was pretty entertained from the start. The first cop was pretty hilarious. I hope I see that guy in more movies. I ended up watching the whole thing and it was entertaining throughout.

Not bad grade b entree to the genre
karen577819 June 2019
This movie leans on character development and humor for that good grade B movie flavor. It isn't that scary and the budget was obviously small but it raised some issues about friendship and loyalty. There was one glaring plot hole. What has happened to all the cell phones.?The pods and the theme of never sleeping are replaced, probably due to budget restraints. This is hardly a classic on the scale of the first two, but it does draw you in and passes the time pleasantly. I hope the people involved get more work.

They're Coming
nogodnomasters9 July 2018
Warning: Spoilers
This is a sci-fi comedy that takes place in the "no crime" Indianapolis. Three twenty-somethings do a ride along with Officer Marcus Wilder (Christopher Wilburn) who has a great sense of humor and makes his own rules. It isn't long before the threesome is accused of killing the officer and are on the run from regenerating people controlled by aliens.

The film starts off as if it was going to be something like "They Live" but didn't quite go there. At one point when they had the film, I thought they were going to visit "Dr. Phil" a Vlogger who spouts conspiracy theories. I think that would have been a better choice with Clint Howard being the guy behind the mask.

The film had some decent comedy moments. I also like the fact Sarah Davenport has a Denise Richards look.

Guide: F-word. No sex or nudity.

solid scifi out of the midwest
lawleypfamazon3 October 2018
A surprisingly good addition to the sci-fi genre. Taking place (and filmed) in Indianapolis Indiana, locals of the area will appreciate the setting and references to their hometown, brought to life in this Hollywood sci-fi movie.

A simple police ride-along turns frantic when unknown forces begin to take over the inhabitants of Indianapolis.
