The episode that got me into the show!
Rick and Morty is an absolute animated masterpiece of television. Every episode is ridiculous, ambitious and over-the-top you'll love it. The ridiculous is all thanks to the lack of restraints in animation. And A Rickle in Time is a perfect demonstration of what Rick and Morty is capable of; not only with its storytelling but also its fast-paced and crazy humor.

The way the episode goes from controlled craziness to outright insanity is so funny once the ripples in time and space start to unravel. And not even a Space-Testicle-Reality-Cop can stop Rick's mishap from getting out of control.

This episode got me into the series as a whole; and boy was this a discovery!

A good start for season two, of course, it was more of a good ending to season one. The comedy was great and the story of this episode was interesting and new.

As great as ever!

I loved this episode and can see why so many people consider it one of the best in the series! Then again, this show is so awesome I have yet to find any bad episodes. This is one of the most visually interesting ones as it features the timelines being split in two, and then four, and then eight, etc. It's just fun to look at the subtle differences the two timelines have and I love how they're both seen at the same time. It's only at the end that they focus on just one. I love how this show always surprises me by having a truly heartwarming moment at the end. I'm not going to give the ending away, but let me tell you it's worth it.

It's great to see Rick, Morty and Summer working together. The idea of a place being surrounded by floating cats is just awesome. I have looked a bit into Schrodinger's cat myself. Everyone is just as entertaining as ever. Rick as usual gets the best lines. It's just great to see this get more and more bizarre and entertaining. ****

Comedic science fiction at its best. This episode is a great example of how Rick and Morty breaks ground, especially in its insane writing.

Timesplitters Too

Decided to come back to my individual episode reviews of "Rick and Morty" after a little time away, starting back with the first episode of the second season, which ironically picks up almost exactly where we left them at the end of the first run.

Six months after freezing time to clean up after the party, Rick (Justin Roiland), Morty (Justin Roiland) and Summer (Spencer Grammer) accidentally fracture spacetime by creating a quantum uncertainty. These two timelines can only exist for so long, and both realities Ricks work at the same time to stitch it back together. After this fails though Rick decides on a different solution - eliminating the other timeline altogether.

Though it's not the most hilarious episode of Rick and Morty in existence, it is one of the cleverest and most high-concept. The opposing timelines are demonstrated with a split screen effect and the dialogue overlaps, cleverly for Summer and Morty the wording changes, but for Rick, who's the most 'certain' of them, it stays the same. Things then are kicked up another notch by the arrival of a Fourth Dimensional being - played by Keegan-Michael Key who exists simultaneously in all realms and can interact - or be interacted with - with each timeline. As I say, super high concept - if not the most hilarious episode the show has ever done.

The B-Story involves Jerry and Beth accidently hitting a deer, at which point Beth is desperate to use her veterinary skills to save it, despite a number of factors working again her. Again, it's fine - if not hilariously funny. It's nice to see a story where Jerry comes up with a plan that works out for him.

I really like the high concept stuff - and nobody tries anything approaching "Rick and Morty's" scope of science fiction.

This is a great episode for people who are just starting to watch the series. The violence amount is mediocre, but there is lots of language.

Warning: Spoilers
Rick and Morty is starting to get back into my good graces after Rick Potion #9 and Raising Gazorpazorp were the first and second bad episodes of the series. It was also a good way to wind down after Ricksy Business was...kind of uncomfortable, but not too bad. We have an A-plot where Rick, Morty and Summer are lost in time in a Key & Peele sketch, and a B-plot where Jerry and Beth go out for ice cream and Beth proves she can fix a deer even though she is a horse surgeon. The ending where the 4th-dimensional beings beat up Albert Einstein and tell him not to mess with time has to be the funniest part of the episode. If only Martha and her sister (Kristen Bell & Idina Menzel) from the Family Guy episode Petey IV and Kevin Hart did that to Brian Griffin in Crimes and Meg's Demeanor and told him not to mess with social media.
