One of the primary shooting locations used for IN MEMORY OF was an abandoned two-story Studebaker dealership located at 2217 Locust Street, St. Louis, Missouri. While the exterior of this building is not seen in IN MEMORY OF (only the interior was filmed), you can glimpse the exterior of this building in John Carpenter's ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK, much of which was filmed along Locust Street in St. Louis.
IN MEMORY OF follows the main character on a cross-country road trip. Production of the movie actually went on the road and shot on location, keeping the same route the character takes in the film. Shooting crossed through Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and Utah.
Simon's (Jason Christ) last name Diyor is Turkish for "says".
IN MEMORY OF features original music score created by Rocky Gray, the former drummer of Grammy-Award-winning, multi-platinum rock band Evanescence.
Jackie Kelly, who plays the lead role of Amber, is in every scene of the movie. Jackie was required to be on set for 45 days of the 46 day shooting schedule. The only day she was not required to be on set was the first day of shooting.
