Not Deserving of the Harsh Views

Warning: Spoilers
Despite the current reviews that are on this episode, I really liked this episode of Bones. Are there some flaws with the storyline of having Brennan be more pregnant that what she initially thought, sure, but did that take away from my viewing experience, no.

I found the case this week to be interesting and goes to show the terribly impact that bullying can have on someone. I think we also had a really touching moment where Brennan realizes that she can relate to the victim because she went through the same struggles. This episode is a good example of what could have happened if Brennan didn't keep pushing through.

Overall I think this was a good episode and there's no reason for the reviews to be so harsh.

Best part: Aubrey at the school talking about what it would be like if he and Booth did adopt a child together

Worst part: hearing all the hate notes that drove the poor victim to kill herself.

Who's the Bully
Hitchcoc13 March 2023
The theme of this episode has to do with how we treat each other (with a focus on bullying). We have an exclusive boarding school where a group of snotty girls has driven the victim to despair. This is so prevalent these days that the result is not surprising. What is interesting is the way both Aubrey and Booth use bullying techniques in attacking the girls. Granted, they are spoiled, self centered brats, but they have the same rights as others. Also, where are their parents. Why is the headmistress sitting in while they are accused of a capital crime. That part of the show is interesting. What is not are the two subplots. Booth's gambling addiction and his hypocrisy and the impending birth of a child. There are sad realities in this episode but it's not delivered very well.

I don't like where this is going

Warning: Spoilers
Dear Producers of Bones,

You have a difficult time struggling with Emilys pregnancy, I understand, but how this is handled is just awful. Should we really believe that the best anthropologist in the world hadn't realized that she is pregnant for three months? Come on, that just sucks.

I also dislike the whole Booth is struggling with gambling again storyline, are you so much out of ideas to put in such a lame plot into this story?

By the way, if Bones was really pregnant three months earlier than she expected, she would have been drinking alcohol during her pregnancy.

I hope there will also be better story lines in the next season.

Thank you.

Why doesn't anybody care about their kids
While i don't even have kids myself, it came to me again while watching this episode, that none of the parents in this series really make time for their kids. Well, at least not the 2 main couples. Brennan and Booth have a child, that hardly ever sees her parents and is never talked about. And when Hodgins gets called to the office at 10pm, Angela just comes along because why would she stay alone at home. Well, you could be looking after your child perhaps (I can't even remember if it's a boy or a girl, but I think a boy) ? For a show that also shows the private lives of their leads, it feels strange that Christine is only a hardly uses prop.
