A teenaged boy, exploring his burgeoning homosexuality, has been visiting online gay sites, including those where contact can be made with others. He has been hiding his Internet activity on the family computer from his father, the teen who erases his history after every use. On one of these sites, he has befriended someone with the handle "boylover", who has been trying to pressure him to meet in person, so that they can take it to the next obvious step of sex. The teen is curious and excited but cautious, especially as they have not yet even traded photographs. The teen relents, but with his caution kicking in, he insists they do it on his terms: meet in a public place - the town's main square - during the day at 9am, with each to wear a red shirt so that they can identify each other. He is excited but nervous as the meeting time gets closer and closer. But nothing can prepare him for what is to happen when the clock strikes 9.
