The tribes converged – though didn’t officially merge – at the start of last week’s episode of “Survivor 46,” resulting in a race against time for one castaway to find an idol, and the standard immunity challenge making half the members safe, complicating the impending vote. And where do players now stand now that they are all on one beach? Let’s break down Season 46 Episode 6, “Cancel Christmas,” as the three individual tribes are no more.
After the shocking blindside of Jemila “Jem” Hussain-Adams on the Siga tribe, Moriah Gaynor felt on the outs as she was the only one who didn’t vote for her, but Siga agreed to put on a united front when the tribes came together for the strategic longevity of all of them, given that it is likely that their five will be going up against the quintet of Nami, leaving the threesome of Yanu in the middle.

A new deleted scene from Survivor 46, Episode 6 has been revealed. The episode featured the Merge Challenge and Moriah Gaynor getting voted out.
As Survivor fans already saw, Moriah became a sacrificial lamb from the Siga Tribe after all Yanu Tribe members earned safety.
The unbalanced teams teased a one-sided Merge Challenge, but the underdog team nearly pulled it off. If not for the puzzle prowess of Hunter McKnight, the results may have been different.
But additional footage from the episode hit the cutting room floor. If the episode had been two hours, viewers could have seen more discussions at the Merge Feast and back at camp with the losing team.
The main focus of those scenes (during the episode) was deciding who would be targeted at the upcoming Tribal Council. It was an extensive discussion, with Nami and Siga each asked to nominate someone to vote out.

Survivor 46 finally reached the phase where players had to “earn the merge.”
The new episode began with the three tribes receiving important Tree Mail indicating it was time to drop their buffs.
As Survivor fans know, this is when a tribe swap or merge takes place. And since they were past the point of doing a tribe swap (it didn’t happen this season), everyone knew what was next.
The three surviving members of the Yanu Tribe had some new life but were outnumbered. Siga and Nami each had five people who had made it to Merge Day.
Before meeting Jeff Probst, Yanu and Siga got in boats to head to the Nami beach. But at Nami, Hunter scrambled to find the key to his Hidden Immunity Idol box. The producers ramped up the drama, but Hunter found it just in time.

Heading into the third episode of “Survivor 46,” the Yanu tribe was down two members after David Jelinsky and Jessica “Jess” Chong were voted out back-to-back. Recently on social media, a battle has been brewing about which version of the long-running reality TV show is better: U.S. “Survivor” or “Australian Survivor”? Well, one of the current Aussie contestants, Feras Basal, is challenging the American host, Jeff Probst, to let the two countries duke it out Down Under. “Cmon @JeffProbst we want Au Vs US,” he wrote on X (formerly Twitter). “Let them play with the big kids in Aus, we’ll sort them out with 47 days.”

Rock legends Blue Öyster Cult have announced a new album, Ghost Stories, and shared the single “So Supernatural” ahead of the April 12th release date.
The album is somewhat unconventional, as it is constructed of “lost gems” from the BÖC archives. It also appears to be their final album, as a press release touts it as “a fitting finale to the recording legacy of one of rock’s most iconic fixtures from the past 50 years.”
Original master tapes were exhumed and digitized, then re-imagined using AI enhancement and new studio tracking by Richie Castellano along with remaining original members Eric Bloom and Donald “Buck Dharma” Roeser, and drummers Albert Bouchard and Rick Downey (plus additional overdubs recorded by Joe Bouchard).
The melodic and mid-tempo groove of “So Supernatural” certainly reflects the band’s classic era — recalling Spectres in particular — but it’s rendered through shiny modern production and extra coats of sonic paint.

Last week on “Survivor 45,” viewers (and a few castaways) witnessed one of the most shocking blindsides of the new era as Kellie Nalbandian was ousted over Jake O’Kane. Jake went into tribal council so convinced he was going home that he played his Shot in the Dark, which resulted in a “Not Safe” scroll. But still, he ended up staying in the game when the four ex-Reba members plus the sole remaining ex-Lulu player (Emily Flippen), banded together to send home Kellie. [Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for Survivor Season 45 Episode 7.] Kaleb Gebreworld made history in Survivor Season 45 Episode 6 when his Shot in the Dark canceled out the 11 votes against him, a first in the show’s history. Naturally, since everyone wanted him out in Episode 6, he was the obvious target in Episode 7. But he and Jake O’Kane hatched a smart plan to orchestrate a 3-3 vote split, which would send them to re-vote. The risk of a re-vote is the threat of another tie, which would lead to the players drawing rocks to determine who gets eliminated (the player with the odd-colored rock gets cut). Jake and Kaleb were confident that Katurah Topps would go with their plan, which was to split the vote and bring Austin Li Coon to their side in a re-vote to send Julie Alley packing. But their offer of an alliance wasn’t enough to convince Katurah. She sided with the Reba...

I know, I know, evaluating Survivor strategy is easier to do while watching at home than it is when you’re actually in the game. But Survivor Season 45 Episode 7’s elimination really grinds my gears for this exact reason. Kaleb was the obvious target in “The Thorn in My Thumb” following his history-making successful Shot in the Dark in Episode 6. The twist justified its existence for the very first time when saving him from elimination by canceling out every single vote against him, of which there were 11. Seemingly to avoid every player voting for Kaleb ...

Heading into the seventh episode of “Survivor 45,” the three tribes had finally come together in a merge following the ouster of J. Maya Krishnan-Jha. (after Kaleb Gebrewold negated a record 11 votes with his Shot in the Dark). That left just 12 people still in the game. But that number was about to be cut down to 10 after the castaways learned that this week would be a double elimination.

Kaleb Gebrewold made Survivor history in Season 45 Episode 6. For the first time ever, a Shot in the Dark reached its full potential, completely canceling out the 11 unanimous votes against him. Because he was safe, the players had to scramble and vote again, ultimately sending J. Maya home. Surprisingly, Kaleb isn’t the prime target for elimination in the TV Insider exclusive clip from Survivor Season 45 Episode 7 (above), airing on Wednesday, November 8 on CBS. Rather, it’s Bruce Perrault “in the hot seat.” Jake O’Kane and Kellie Nalbandian make a plan to get Kaleb on their side in the clip above, admitting that Bruce, their fellow original member of Belo, could be a liability in this effort. Bruce found the newly merged tribe’s new idol last week and shared that information with basically everyone but Katurah Topps, his nemesis. The plot against Kaleb was concocted by Bruce, but Emily Flippen...

“Survivor 45” made history once again last week as Kaleb Gebrewold successfully played his Shot in the Dark to a unanimous vote against him, breaking the record with 11 votes cast for him, two more than when Kelley Wentworth back in “Survivor: Second Chance” played an immunity idol negating nine votes against her. Let’s break down what events transpired that led up to this groundbreaking moment as the tribes converged to one beach.
After the ouster of Brando Meyer in the last episode, Kendra McQuarrie was on the warpath and wanted revenge on Emily Flippen for lying to her, and siding with the Reba duo of Austin Li Coon and Drew Basile. The next day, right before the boats arrived to pick the tribes up to unite with everyone, Bruce Perreault was able to find the new Lulu idol underneath the shelter and shared it with the whole tribe, minus Katurah Topps.

On Wednesday’s sixth episode of “Survivor 45,” the three tribes of Belo, Reba and Lulu joined together at one beach for the pre-merge. At the immunity challenge, the castaways were divided into two teams where seven earned immunity and a spot in the merged tribe and six others were left vulnerable to the looming vote. After a historic “Shot in the Dark” by Kaleb Gebrewold for immunity, J. Maya Krishnan-Jha became the plan B in a second vote and was eliminated from the game. Read on for J. Maya’s “Survivor 45” exit interview from the end of the episode.
On her way out, J. Maya narrated what her Tribal Council fate, summing it up as “a unanimous vote for Kaleb. He got saved through a Shot in the Dark. I guess I was the collateral damage in the re-vote.” But her impression that she was just “collateral damage” is not entirely accurate.

Since Survivor introduced the Shot In The Dark in Season 41, it’s safe to say it’s been a dud. The twist, which gives players a 1 in 6 chance to be safe in exchange for their vote at Tribal Council, has only landed on “Safe” one time, and in that situation, it wasn’t even necessary. That changed on Wednesday’s (November 1) episode when Kaleb Gebrewold, a 29-year-old software salesperson from Port Coquitlam, British Columbia, made history as the first contestant to successfully negate the majority of votes with his Shot In the Dark. The season so far has been tough for Kaleb, who was part of the cursed Lulu tribe, who visited Tribal Council more than any other tribe in the pre-merge. He was almost blindsided at one point, as his tribemates plotted to vote him out, only for his ally Emily Flippen to clue him in at the last...

Since the creation of the Shot in the Dark twist at the start of the “new era” that began with “Survivor 41,” several castaways have tried using the one-in-six advantage to save their ailing games, but no one ever had luck on their side. Until now. Warning: this article contains spoilers from “Survivor 45,” Episode 6, so read at your own risk!
After the remaining 13 players attended a group tribal council in the pre-merge phase of the game, Kaleb Gebrewold knew he was in danger. He tried pegging J. Maya Krishnan-Jha as a bigger threat, but it didn’t seem to work. One by one, each player went to the cast their votes and all of them wrote down Kaleb’s name. Kaleb, having been warned by Emily Flippen that his game was hanging from a thread, didn’t vote and instead opted to play his Shot in the Dark.

Cue the fireworks! There’s a fiery new rivalry forming on “Survivor 45” between bartender Kendra McQuarrie and investment analyst Emily Flippen. As it turns out, Emily’s decision in last week’s episode to vote with Austin Li Coon and Drew Basile in ousting Brandon “Brando” Meyer left Kendra as the odd woman out of the Belo tribe. Due to the betrayal, Kendra now proclaims she wants to “get revenge on Emily.” Watch the “Survivor 45” sneak peek video above for Episode 6.
The promo clip starts out on Night 11 at the Belo camp, just moments after Brando’s exit. Emily starts the fireside discussion by noting, “For what it’s worth, I think we did talk about telling you, [Kendra]. And the only fear was if it got back to Brando and he played his Shot in the Dark. I know that’s not what you expected, and I feel terrible for lying to you.

What a difference two episodes can make; so far in “Survivor 45,” two tight allies turned on each other, an unlikely pair emerged as a power duo, a player went from the bottom to a major deciding position, and there are new types of advantages and creative ways to retrieve idols. Let’s break down Episode 3, titled “No Man Left Behind,” and the latest from “Survivor 45” as we are about to head into our first tribe swap of the new era.
Starting with the Belo tribe, much has changed within the social dynamics with some cracks in the women’s alliance of Katurah Topps, Kellie Nalbandian and Kendra McQuarrie, with Kendra bonding with Jake O’Kane, and Kellie forming a connection with Brando Meyer, with the latter duo claiming to be in the middle deciding whether to go with the alliance of the men or the women, since Jake is also very close with Bruce Perreault.

AC/DC played their first show in seven years on Saturday night (October 7th) at the Power Trip festival in Indio, California. The evening also featured a set by fellow Rock & Roll Hall of Famers Judas Priest.

Only 11 castaways remain in Survivor 44, meaning they have officially “earned” the merge. They will now compete for individual immunity and reside on one beach (and everyone gets the cool black merge buff). But, of course, it wouldn’t be the “new era” if the producers didn’t introduce at least one twist in every episode. So whether fans like it or not, host Jeff Probst had shocking news for the players in Survivor 44 Episode 7, “Let’s Not Be Cute About It.”

The Survivor Season 44 premiere showed a lot of promise for the fourth installment of the reality competition series’ “new era,” but since then, fans have pointed out flaws in the show’s format. There are too many advantages and idols (and fake idols) at play in the game, and only women have been voted out. But hopefully, things will turn around soon, and by the time the finale arrives, we’ll be talking about how great Survivor Season 44 was.

CBS’ Survivor is back for its 44th season, and these contestants are ready to outwit, outplay and outlast like never before. The premiere introduced a new hidden (or not so hidden) immunity idol, had three medical interventions, and showed the first successful use of the Shot in the Dark. Watching this premiere felt like watching history in the making. And as we look forward to history being made in the rest of this season, we can also look back on some of Survivor’s biggest moments from the past. Who can forget the whirlwind romance between “Boston” Rob Mariano and Amber Brkich? The dynamic duo fought their way to the Final Tribal Council, only to make their tribemates vote between them for a winner. Although everyone was anxiously waiting to see who would be crowned as the Sole Survivor, the real surprise came moments before that, when Mariano got down...

Wednesday’s two-hour premiere of “Survivor” included some major milestones, like the first ever successful draw of a Shot in the Dark scroll, and the introduction of three new twists. But as welcome as those milestones may be, the moments still swirling in our heads are the bruises, blunders and baffling decisions made by the Ratu tribe that all together made the season 44 opener one of the most brain-boggling episodes in series history.
Let’s start with the bruises — all three of them that in total amount to what Kane Fritzler aptly referenced as “unprecedented body damage” at such an early stage of the game. At the start of the “new era” of “Survivor” that began with the reality TV show’s 41st season, Jeff Probst introduced a twist known as the Shot in the Dark. This die gives a player a one-in-six chance of receiving safety at tribal council, in exchange for them not voting. A handful of contestants tried their luck at pulling the “Safe” scrolls during “Survivor 41,” “Survivor 42” and “Survivor 43,” but all of them ended up with “Not Safe” scrolls instead. Well, that all changed during the season premiere of “Survivor 44.”
After the Ratu tribe lost the first immunity challenge of the season, Jaime Lynn Ruiz felt nervous back at camp. Even though she and the other two girls, Maddy Pomilla and Lauren Harpe, were planning an epic blindside of NFL player Brandon Cottom in order to flush his not-so-hidden immunity idol, Jaime still felt the need to play her Shot in the Dark.

In this week’s “Survivor 43” deleted scene (watch above), Owen Knight and Karla Cruz Godoy are chatting together on the beach during the 11th episode shortly after Noelle Lambert‘s blindside. “It’s hard to take anything personally at this point,” admits the 30-year-old college admissions director from New Orleans. “Earlier I was feeling pretty down in the dumps [before the Jeanine Zheng vote]. It’s exciting now. This is where it gets fun.”
Owen was feeling “pretty sorry” for himself yet again when Noelle was ousted from the game, but he heeded Karla’s advice and slept on it, and now he’s back to his old self. At the impending immunity challenge in which the players each had to hold their breaths under a steel grate in the ocean, he gave it his all and ended up outlasting the tide. Both Owen and Karla claimed immunity necklaces, a historic first for the classic challenge.
