It starts over where it had started. Not a great episode but a hopeful one for the next season.

Warning: Spoilers
At first I liked the quirky main characters. They seemed to me like realistic people who were working through their issues and through the things that life throws at you. After they hooked up, I guess drama was to be expected, but the realism gave way to Gus being a self-entitled jerk and Mickey being a weak woman unable to stand up for herself in any way. Why did Gus kiss her at the end? Isn't it cruel to kiss someone who has just confessed her numerous addictions, especially sex and love? Was it because he was on the rebound? Was it because her divulging of her weaknesses somehow made her pitiably attractive? It's difficult to like a show when one of two main characters turned out to be such a selfish ass. Maybe he redeems himself in the next season.
Several of the other characters were much more endearing as people, including Bertie and Gus's crew.
