In "Satellite of Love" #2.1, Happy steals a password and translates it from Cyrillic to the English alphabet. The translation of a password cannot be substituted for the original. Happy should have given Walter the password in its original form.
Toby and Happy tap into information at the Russian Consulate in Los Angeles. There isn't one. The nearest to LA is in San Francisco.
When Walter and Paige are outside the balloon there would be no wind for them to feel or be threatened by. Balloons travel with the wind (at the same speed). The only way they would feel wind is if something were holding the balloon stationary relative to the wind.
When Walter drops his parachute from the balloon, it falls to within a few feet from where they took off. A balloon would have moved due to the winds and would no longer be over that spot, so the parachute would not have landed close to this location. Even if the balloon was tethered to the ground, it would have moved with the wind and still not been directly over that spot.
At the altitude Walter and Paige are in the weather balloon, it is too cold to manipulate items or objects with bare hands as seen. Skin would freeze in seconds and hypothermia set in due to lack of adequate cold weather gear.
Furthermore, without breathing apparatus, Walter and Paige would be suffering from hypoxia in no time, having come from sea level (give or take a couple hundred meters depending on the altitude of the base).
