Jamie Lee Curtis Pays A Great Tribute to Her Mother
FelipeCarrillo14 June 2016
"Scream Queens" does not arrive to its eighth episode with the same force that started - perhaps, what shows manage to do it? - but its absurdity and fun situations create some fidelity to the series. With epic moments, and a few not so epic, series manages to create a balance, a state of rest which has to increase.

This "Scream Queens" Review contains spoilers. If you have not watched "Mommie Dearest" episode, please, do not read, this could destroy it.

With conviction that Grace is the girl in the bathtub, Wes was the DJ and Dean Munsch had to do in the creation of the murderer, Boone and Gigi are two of the three killers, but who is the third?. With the best confrontation of the series, Curtis pulls out all her acting skills to give a unique, unforgettable scene and a true - though different - tribute to her mother. We have hopes in the series, but the spirit of the pilot is necessary if they want the series to keep running for a month more.

A plot as complicated and tiring as the previous episodes is introduced in "MD". Revelations, many revelations have been power and uniqueness of the show. First, they reveal us that Gigi was the Hag of Shady Lane, which shows us that Wes might have known her in the luxurious meetings of KKT. Then, reveal us that Grace is the daughter of a former Kappa Kappa Tau, which had problems with the law, however, to Channel does not serve this clue to indict Grace by the murders, but serves to give more clues. The climax and culmination of the episode is not so surprising - we deduce it - but refreshing appearance of Boone with a look of Joaquin Phoenix, speaking by cell phone with the third psychopath, then, who is the third? who's the third? who's? who's?

So many twists plot make difficult to believe in a possible real discovery of the murderer. Each character giving speeches and doing actions that make it seem that it is the murderer is exhausting to fans of the series and constantly they compare the two initial episodes with the rest of chapters. This is not a film (of two hours), is a series, and if FOX decided to make a series had to kept in mind its length, Ryan had to take into account its originality, its ideas, its foundations. No, series isn't terrible - it's fascinating - but is a precaution for the next episodes, based on the obvious reductions of viewers, something that directly affects a new and promising second season.

Comedy, idiocy and black humour are preserved intact, such as the "night of 1000 compliments with Chad" or Scotland Yard's European detectives in America or even Denis H. in the sisterhood, joy still is, what is failing is its narrative load, its drama.

"Mommie Dearest" sets out an elongated plot and urgently need a real turnaround, if not, the series starts plummeting in its ninth episode. With the exception of a few solid moments and that leave evidence that there is lots of ideas and imagination, "Scream Queens" weakens the harvested and begins in a countdown, a hero (Ryan Murphy) has to save it or the Red Killer going to kill it.
