Mumbai, July 25 (Ians) Actor Gulshan Devaiah’s look from the upcoming streaming giant Netflix’s series ‘Guns and Gulaabs’ deeply inspired from Sanjay Dutt’s look in the 90s.
An insider from the production said: “The series is set in the 90s and the Sanjay Dutt craze was at its peak during that time and many people started adapting that.”
“The team thought about what better way to capture the 90s than that look. It was actually Gulshan who suggested this idea and was quite keen to carry that look too. He made it seem very natural.”
‘Guns and Gulaabs’ is a comedy crime thriller series which is created and directed by Raj and Dk. It is based on the 90s world of crime and violence. The series stars Rajkummar Rao, Dulquer Salmaan, Adarsh Gourav, Gulshan Devaiah and Tj Bhanu in lead roles.

Netflix is on the cusp of taking down a wide selection of movies and TV series.
The streaming service removes numerous titles each month, but without fanfare; unless you happen to select the thing that’s about to leave, you will have no idea there’s a limited amount of time left to watch.
Fortunately, we’ve compiled a list of every movie and TV show being removed from Netflix in April 2023.
We’ve aggregated all the impending removals from Netflix in the UK and US, which we’ve signalled below. If there isn’t a territory listed next to the title, then it will be leaving both.

Actor Gulshan Devaiah says the greatest fear for an actor is to be forgotten and become irrelevant.
"The forgotten become irrelevant and that's the greatest fear for an actor. This can be anybody's reality. It's a tough business. It kills the mind, breaks the spirit of people & yet we come flocking in the thousands. Best wishes to Mr Samir Khakhar & everyone else who's an actor," Gulshan tweeted on Saturday.
His post comes as a reaction to a post which stated that "Samir Khakhar who played the role of Khopdi in Nukkad is looking for work".

Mumbai, Oct 24 (Ians) Actor Gulshan Devaiah feels recent controversies, related to allegations of Bollywood-drug trade nexus as well as nepotism charges, which have been surrounding the film fraternity, do not bother him.
"Without taking names, I want to say that the controversies and generalisation that have defamed our film industry in the recent past do not bother me. What bothers me is the people who are raising their voice with a huge amount of insincerity. If you know that you are an influential voice of the film industry, will you not check your own words before uttering them? That is why I have difficulty trusting them. The audience that is observing the toxicity, should sit back and try to understand who is benefitting from these controversies? As an audience, are you?" said the actor.
Gulshan has managed to make his mark in the entertainment industry across mediums.

Actor Gulshan Devaiah says the problem with accepting depression as a disease is that a lot of people consider it to be a state of mind.
"There is a problem with accepting depression as a disease because most people think depression is a state of mind, or it is an emotion. Like, if I proposed to a girl and she turned me down and I say 'I am depressed', and (treat) depression as a state of mind," Gulshan Devaiah told Ians.
"Depression is used as an expression to express something. But when you are diagnosed with depression, by a mental health practitioner or by a certified doctor, then that is an illness. It needs to be treated like any other illness like cancer or tuberculosis," he added.
Gulshan Devaiah feels depression has to be treated, "some without medication and some with medication".

While she certainly needs a big break in some big banner film, right now the sultry siren Radhika Apte, who made the heads turn with her performance in Hunterrr and Badlapur recently, is looking for the much deserved break.
The actress is currently working on six-seven projects at a time (Tamil film Ula, Hindi films The Bright Day, Kaun Kitne Paani Mein, The Field, English venture Parched, Telugu film Lion and MTV International's untitled next)
It seems Radhika is quite worn-out with her hectic schedule and seeking for a break. She took a micro-blogging site to share about her state of mind. "I don't feel like working today .. And tomorrow .. And the day after .. I think I need a longer break," Radhika wrote.
Well, Radhika you indeed deserve a break!

Gulshan Devaiah who received rave reqviews for his role as Mandar Ponkshe in ‘Hunterrr’ will be seen sharing screen space with best friend Kalki Koechlin in Pooja Bhatt’s next production. The film, which will be directed by Soni Razdan, is based on the infamous Km Nanavati case of 1959. Remember the time when Anurag Kashyap had said, 'I won't watch Grand Masti even if I get Rs. 5 crores' about two months ago? Now it seems that writer Milap Zaveri (who had co-written Masti and Grand Masti) has decided to get even once again with Anurag Kashyap. For the ones who aren't aware, during the release of his production Hunterrr, Anurag Kashyap passed comments on sex comedies, especially Grand Masti, which was a record-breaking success in Bollywood. Not the one to take it kindly, Milap then blasted at Anurag by tweeting, "Anurag says he isn't frustrated to see #GrandMasti Correct. He makes #Girlintheyellowboots where a father gets handjobs from his daughter." Though later, the writer decided to cool off and did wish well for Kashyap's then upcoming film Hunterrr, now it seems that Milap has yet again revived the argument. Bombay Velvet which was appreciated by many in the...

During one of her Hunterrr interviews, Radhika Apte had said that she'll love to play a sex addict. And guess what? She has already got such offers to play.
Says the actress, "I've been offered roles to play a sex addict. But I'm not doing them for some reason."
Ask her if the Indian society is ready for such subjects and she promptly says, "I think we are ready for quite a lot than what we think we are. I don't think we are not ready at all."
Radhika is now gearing up for her next film Bombairiya in which she'll be seen playing a PR executive. The film is being directed by debutante Pia Sukanya and also stars Akshay Oberoi, Siddhanth Kapoor, Dalip Tahil and others.

After playing the villain in Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ramleela, Gulshan Devaiah will now be seen in a common man's lustful journey in Hunterrr.
On being asked about the movie poster ban he said, "Yeah, the poster has been banned. I don't like it either because my nipples are visible. I'm a little embarrassed about that."
Answering why he was embarrassed, he said, "I wish I had done a few more bench presses. But anyway I am playing a very ordinary guy who is travelling in a local train. That's why my body also had to look average."
"So being an actor I'm in a little vain. I looked at the poster and I was like- Shit yaar mere packs gir rahe hai, sab tight hota tha na yaar. That's why I would ban it because I'm not looking cool in it," he added.

Radhika Apte may be tagged as the next 'bold queen' of Bollywood, considering her roles in films like Badlapur and Hunterrr. However, she hardly cares for what people deem about her. She gives a damn to their perception.
She says, "I don't give it so much importance. I genuinely don't. It's just people's perception what can I do after a point. I am not going to do much to change their perception or I want to do is not get typecast. I just want to do my own work."
Radhika, who played saree-clad quintessential characters in the films like Shor In The City and Rakhta Charitra, says that people change their perception accordingly.
"When I did Shor In The City, people thought I can do only saree-clad roles on-screen. And I cannot look anything else but a sari-clad lower middle class family woman and now the same people are giving...

The sex comedy Hunterrr which is scheduled to open this week has been asked by the Cbfc to clean up its language. Some of the shocking scandalous content in the trailer would also have to go in the film. Says a source from the Cbfc, "The trailer had been passed by the previous Cbfc team and it contained a lot of objectionable language. There is nothing we could do about it. However the language censored in the film was done according to suitability of the theme. We were aware that Hunterrr was a sex comedy. We went along with the risque dialogues as much as we could." However, the Cbfc suggested instead of beeps, the objectionable portions of the dialogues be re-recorded to avoid jerks in the soundtrack. Says a source from the production house Phantom (who emerged triumphant last week with NH10), "We were asked to make changes in the dialogue,...

What would a Hunterrr be without the women in his life! A new video featurette for the film Hunterrr has just been released, which shifts the focus to the three women in Mandar Ponkshe aka Gulshan Devaiah’s life: Trupti (Radhika Apte), Jyotsna (Sai Tamhankar) and Parul (Veera Saxena).
The video clearly suggests that if Mandar is a ‘Hunterrr’, the three women aren’t simply his ‘prey’ either. As Director Harshavardhan Kulkarni says: “All the 3 women are not Hunterrr ke Shikaar, the are Shikaaris in their own right!”
Actress Radhika Apte (who just received tremendous acclaim for her role in Badlapur) plays the free-spirited, independent Trupti, who she describes as a character she could instantly relate to: “Every woman is a strong character, has a history and story… And she knows what he is doing!”
The makers have also released three unique ‘Trump Card’ style posters titled ‘Hunterrr Ke Nishaane...
