The Vampire Diaries - Let Her Go
NathanielkWells20 February 2015
I don't usually do reviews for The Vampire Diaries, because there's so many episodes, but I had to because the episode 'Let Her Go' is by far the best episode this season. This episode will make you cry and make you laugh. You'll probably end up crying more than you'll be laughing (you might even find yourself pausing it for a crying session). This episode answered a lot of questions you viewers have had, but also has raised even more questions to the audience. The ending - talk about a cliffhanger. This is not the way to end an episode, I need to know what happens right now and not next week. Overall, this episode is definitely worth watching and make sure you have a box of tissues on hand.

Let her go. Catch her!

Warning: Spoilers
To be honest I was kindda getting bored with this show lately, but this episode brought back my interest. Especially the part with Damon and Bonnie!! Their new found friendship has been amazing. Bonnie jumping into Damon's arms and the way Damon catches her was Wow!! Just Wow!! For me it was even better than Elena and Damon's reunion, way way better! It was everything that was missing.

Finally!
elefantra21 February 2015
Lately, I've only tuned in to Vampire Diaries to see in what way the writers have tried to destroy the show even further. Nothing has really compared to the excellence we got used to in season 3, even season 4 (you can probably tell I'm an avid Klaus-fan). Sure enough, the last few episodes have punched me right in the feels, especially the scenes dealing with Caroline and Liz. However, for the better part of it, I'm just sick of Enzo, Steroline and every other way the show has gone downhill in.

This episode changed my mind. Well, it doesn't excuse season 6 so far, but it was fantastic, and truly brought me back to the state of mind in which I was when I got hooked on Vamps for the first time. Some of the scenes even touched my roommate to tears (and he hates the show, referring to it as Vampire Dhiarrea).

All I can say without giving away spoilers is: finally. You won't be disappointed. If you've given up on the show, at least try to push through the episodes leading to this one and just enjoy it. Bring tissues.

This was a great episode to say goodbye to one of the recurring characters whose been in it from the beginning , it was a emotional thrillride and a fantastic 40 minute episode.

Warning: Spoilers
Note to self: Don't rewatch this episode unless if you really have to. Very sad but at the same time there are some new storylines.

Caroline has a dream of an old memory. Liz Forbes has come back to her with medical supplies to help her bandage the wound from falling off her bike. Little Caroline is so cute - the actress has been in many films now. Caroline wakes up to see her friends all around the room, sleeping in the night. She gets up for water and Damon is in the kitchen. He has writer's block.

Caroline is very organized and has a list made of things to do. She assigns tasks to her friends. She tells Elena they are going casket shopping.

We see a flashback of Damon and little Stefan dressed up in front of the mirror prior to their mother's funeral. Stefan is so cute and handsome. Damon chickened out and didn't give a eulogy or attended the funeral. Damon remembers when Stefan tearfully told him he could have just said goodbye. Damon gets inspired by this memory and gets to work writing - the way how he holds his pencil is elegant.

Jo has decided to give up her magic to save Kai who feels like he is dying. If Kai dies, everyone in the coven dies as well along with the other worlds. Such as the one Bonnie is in. Bonnie's 1994 world is switched to that of 1903. There is a period when the two years keep switching but she manages to do the spell and get out of there.

Caroline looks beautiful in a black dress, black tights and heels at the funeral. She sings in the church for her mom.

Jo and Alaric missed the funeral. However before Kai leaves he whispers to Jo something. Jo was throwing up because she is pregnant. Alaric immediately proposes and she accepts after she sees he is ready with a ring.

Damon walks in and sees pancakes on the table. He looks up and it is Bonnie in the flesh. She runs and jumps up to hug him.
