Stay TVD review

This was a very emotional episode for the characters as it sets up a character leaving us, I liked the acting from everyone in this episode.

Heart. Breaking.
elizabeth_rose32417 February 2015
Warning: Spoilers
If you didn't cry at any point during this episode, you are most likely heartless. This entire episode was beautifully done, and Liz and Jeremy will be greatly missed. Caroline managed to break my heart in two, and honestly I haven't cried more during a TVD episode than I did in this one. I loved this episode more than any of the others because it brought us back to the roots. It reminded me of the episodes from the first few seasons, and I miss those. I also miss Klaus, but that's irrelevant.

I wasn't quite on board with the whole Steroline shipping... I love Stefan and I love Care, but I still am on the Klaroline ship and I will be forever. However, they kissed in this episode and it was stunning. The two of them are stupendous actors, and I fell for the two of them as a couple because of their talent.

Goodbye Liz. You tried so hard to finish all your cases, and tried to figure out who to blame for Miranda & Grayson's death. Turns out it was just an accident.. Sorry Liz. Her determination was so sad, and I was reminded about all the wonderful times we had her company. Her death made me sob more than I wanted to, and I will miss her so much. Marguerite did so well in the bedroom/death scene with Damon and I loved it so much.

Ha. Ha. Jeremy and Alaric totally killed. I mean, they lied to EVERYONE. Absolutely wonderful. Jer is now a vampire hunter on the run... maybe he'll run into Sam and Dean. Or maybe he'll go down to New Orleans and create more trouble for the lusciously gorgeous Originals. I can't wait to see if they will show more of Jer's story. I know Steven McQueen is gone for now, but at least his character isn't dead.

Enzo needs to go. The moment he ran over Matt, I was super angry. Can we get rid of him already? I used to like him. I no longer do. Michael Malarkey is a wonderful actor, but this character is overused now.

Tyler wasn't in this episode, but frankly he needs to come back as a good dude. His tryst with the witch was annoying and I miss the hybrid.

BRING BACK BONNIE.

Okay, I'm done.

Sad episode - Goodbye, Sheriff Forbes
vivianla23 December 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Sheriff Liz Forbes was one of my favourite characters in TVD. This episode was painful with good lessons.

Damon and Elena compel the high school principal to let Jeremy graduate despite having so many absences and fails on his records.

Stefan goes with Caroline to the cottage where she wants to set up a comfortable home for her mom with books and alcohol. Caroline comments that Jeremy is going to art school and those degree-holders earn some of the lowest wages in the country. There is a moment when Stefan tells Caroline to reach into his jean pocket and she has to really dig. Another moment when Stefan shows his arms as he is fixing something over the porch and he looks hot.

Enzo has threatened to hurt Matt's mom. He revealed he already slept with her one night. Enzo forces Matt to meet with Sarah Salvatore. At the Mystic Grill, Sarah shows up thanking Matt for recommending her to the manager for photos. While looking through her camera, Matt says woah when he sees photos that are assumed to be sexy. She replies she forgot they were there and takes the camera. Later Enzo calls Matt and tells him to lead Sarah to a tunnel with graffiti. Sarah tells Matt her roommate took those photos for her art project and she doesn't have a boyfriend. Enzo hits Matt with his car and shows Sarah his vampirism by healing Matt with his blood.

Liz Forbes is in her office for the last time going through cold cases that are still open. Damon comes in and verifies all of them were because of him except for the car accident that killed Elena's parents. Liz mentions she was afraid it was him who did it but they became close friends. After talking to Jeremy they learn Jeremy was caught smoking pot by his mom and that was why she left a voice message for Liz. It was simply an accident and nothing more. There was a big storm and they had to take the route that crossed the bridge.

Damon takes Liz home. Liz asked Damon to let Caroline know to surprise her tomorrow as she is not up for it today. Liz goes into a coma. She is taken to the hospital where Stefan suggests to Caroline to give her good last memories before she is gone. Caroline holds her hand and the memory of Liz helping Caroline ride a bike without training wheels is shown. Liz is dressed beautifully with shoulder-length hair. She dies right after the memory.

Alaric drives Jeremy to a bus stop. They pretended Jeremy is going to art school but he is actually going to continue being a vampire hunter.
