"A few days with my idol"
greekdx29 September 2022
And just writing review for a movie found in youtube without any subtitles in English. Just from what seen and understood from rather intense characters body language.

For a foreigner is quite easy to think that this movie is not the famous hota he. For example my wife seen the title and immediately laughed with it similarity

A movie with lots of laughter from the start to the end. In short this movie deals to married rather rich fat guy who has some persistence on a top Hindi presenter and actress . He has a lot of her promo material hidden in his home without anyone knowing about it and lives in the beautiful Kuala Lumpur. He wins an award to meet with her. He hides to show he is married and then more funny things start. What happens next?

I could nt stop laughing with the actors hilarious body movements and the usual behavior to show he is younger than he seems (still yooung at aroudn 40s) One of the hairdressers is gay . He also is too funny touching him on the body!

Most of the story then is even funnier . The young couple pretending to be around 65 or more is not only hilarious but also not so convincing.

Even if Sunny is too hot I prefer Evelyne . She is very sweet girl with rather angelic face . In the second part of the movie she plays the old woman but also tries to unsuccessfully show she is very serious. Humorously I can fancy her play the Hindi version of Hot Pursuit (Vergara vs Whiterspoon) and play the role better!

Ram is quite good with many goofies! I don't know the name of the other man who played the second old man but us too ridiculous nearby Sunny.

Verdict: even if the movie is too funny it lacks 5.5/10.

Expect Bawdiness & Rejoice! ♦ 14%
nairtejas10 May 2015
One knows what to expect when it comes to films like these.

Story about a married, salacious 40-something man (Kapoor) who falls for international (adult) movie star (Leone) is silly, but not enough silly. It is evident from the intro frames where the film is really going - hatching a sex comedy between the primary protagonists, using slapstick and comic dialogs. Unfortunately, old formula has been highly tampered with and all that is left for its audiences to absorb are few cleavages, slurs about these cleavages, and short skirts that emphasize the cleft.

People love sex comedies if they are honest, but in here there is visible honesty only about one thing: flesh show. Those expecting things from the film will receive it with pure irreverence from Leone and Sharma, who are strictly for that purpose. Other characters simply fool around with unclear intentions. Moreover, the base of the film itself is flawed - the guy probably wants to get laid with someone other than his wife, and when the time comes, refuses to acknowledge it. I have no sympathy or liking for such a character.

The film is an update only for Ram Kapoor - a lucky sod who used to romance sari-clad middle-aged women in TV and now fantasizes about voluptuous actors.

BOTTOM LINE: Kuch Kuch Locha Hai is an updated and modernized progeny of Bhojpuri sleaze films which used to have posters stuck inside bus stops and on street light poles - posters that had three main people in it, descriptively the boob-flashing heroine, her big-hearted (and probably well-endowed) hero lover, and her knife-wielding villain lover. You know what to expect. 1/10 - avoid.

Can be watched with a typical Indian family? NO

Alcohol: Mild | Profanity/Vulgarity: Medium

A terrible comedy and a wrong choice made by Ram Kapoor as well as Sunny Leone.
bobbysing1 August 2016
What can be said about a film that dares to begin right away with an established actor like Ram Kapoor continuing his hamming act of HUMSHAKALS in a silly mode and then an all amateurish cast trying to portray as if they are enjoying a lot in those ridiculously written sequences with no humour of any kind whatsoever.

A supposedly sex comedy featuring Sunny Leone, who instead of entertaining the audience herself, passes on the important responsibility to Evelyn Sharma (quite strangely) who tries her best shedding off clothes in the first half.

A film based on a pathetic date-game plot asking the young ones to pose as old couple reminding you of something straight from the 80s, KUCH KUCH LOCHA HAI is not KUCH KUCH LOCHA but literally representing the word LOCHA in its painfully long duration testing the viewer's patience. It has senseless writing, poor direction, overacting and double meaning dialogues thrown vaguely as a desperate try to make you laugh right from the word GO. And then even dares to offer a R. D. Burman remix of "Jaane Do Na" from film SAAGAR with all its antras re-written and re-composed trying to surpass the original with Sunny dressed in red saree copying Dimple Kapadia. Certainly a big mistake by both Ram Kapoor (who possibly did it for money or for the obvious reason) and Sunny Leone who looked like taking it seriously post EK PAHELI LEELA.

In few words, if in a film promoted as a sex comedy featuring two sex bombs namely Sunny Leone and Evelyn Sharma, few youngsters decide to leave post intermission and the rest like myself choose to take a long nap in the chilling air conditioning, then that should be a perfect review for the readers to derive their own conclusions. So there is nothing more to be written about this avoidable venture.

Kuch Kuch Locha hai has only 'Lochas'. So, just avoid it.

Warning: Spoilers
Kuch Kuch Locha hai, a film by Devang Dholakia. I thought not to review this movie, but later decided to write a quick review just to stop you from watching this horrible movie. There is only locha in this movie. I wish, we stop making such movies. It does not fit under a specific genre. Neither there is any entertainment nor there is any message in the movie. Praveen Patel (Ram Kapoor) is a businessman in Malaysia and is a great fan of Shanaya (Sunny Leone), a bollywood actress. He wins a reality show which fetches him a date with Shanaya. Shanaya wants to prepare herself for the role of a Gujarati housewife and so she seeks help from Praveen Patel. Praveen manipulates his wife Kokila (Suchita Trivedi), manages to send her out of the house and brings Shanaya home. Indeed lot more locha take place during all these: Praveen's son Jigar is a debutant Navdeep Chabbra and his love interest in the movie Naina (Evleen) are equally irritating. Sunny Leone is continuing to do what she has been doing in all previous films – just made an object of desire and lust. I am sad with the fact that Ram Kapoor, even after the failure of Hamshakals, chose to do another disastrous film.

Kuch Kuch Locha hai has only 'Lochas'. So, just avoid it.

best comedy

This makes me crack up so much, it is so funny. BEST as usual sunny Leone. This film firstly has one of the best songs which i am in love with which is Aao Na, This is the part of the film which i start to fall in love with. The Patel family seems to be bad but funny actors in a weird way. But i really like the acting. Especially when Sunny Leone keeps her class. Ram Kapoor is an actor who has one many awards, his facial expressions make me more satisfied during this movie that he can 'multirole' Amazing film SUBPERB 10/10 will recommend to friends and family. I think the age range should be 12+ because some scenes are explicit such as when Ram Kapoor tells sunny the 'banana' joke etc...

Brilliant comedy
mastisunny-4606011 May 2015
When it comes to writing reviews for this website, I've developed a method that I believe works well and gives each project a pretty fair shot. I listen to the CD twice all the way through before writing a single word. Then I write down the track listing and as I play through for a third time I begin to make notes. This has become a self-imposed rule that I've stuck to on all but a handful of the nearly 300 reviews I've thrown up here. Sometimes I jot down quotes and sometimes just the premise for bits that grabbed my attention. I write down what stood out as really good and I write down what stood out as really bad. If a track goes by that isn't particularly noteworthy, I simply delete that line and move on to the next. By the end of the final playback, I have a skeleton of a review from which to work. For this movie sunny has acted well and the presentation of comedy was simply better you cannot get anymore better than sunny and ram cannot take eyes of her.

On the super comedy movie did not expect much but was surprised the way movie was brought...... specially the lead sunny was watchable cannot just take eyes of her...... the beauty queen has made us proud all the people has started liking her and seeing her in a different way no more the adult film star ......... it has taken her long time to be so successful....... the last year horror movie was also a super class of talent so we should be proud that the adult star turned in a professional actress ........ love to see her every time her new movies and her new looks cannot just take eyes out of her...... for me i would give 9 out of 10 for this movie yes cannot compare with big comedy movie but sunny has shown that she can work with big actors and make big films as well.... loved the movie

Excellent comedy

Devang Dholakia's Kuch Kuch Locha Hai , touted as a sex comedy, is in fact a large-scale mindless Gujarati drama on celluloid, packaged like a never-ending Balaji Telefilms soap, with skin show and cheap, ineffective thrills galore.

The story revolves around Praveen Patel (Ram Kapoor) aka PP, a middle-aged Gujarati shopkeeper settled in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He lives with his dramatic and stereotypically loud Gujarati wife Kokila Patel (Suchita Trivedi), whom he lovingly calls KoKodile and musician son, Jigar Patel (Navdeep Chabbra).

Like most NRIs, PP is besotted by Bollywood and in fact has a quirky obsession for the Bollywood 'sex bomb' Shanaya (Sunny Leone).

How PP manipulates his way through to fulfill his dream for a date with Shanaya, forms the crux of this long and convoluted tale.

Unfortunately, the premise is staid and it's treatment obnoxious. Most of the scenes are tackle canned. The direction is; careless, on the face close and upfront and theatrically projected.

On the performance front, though over-the-top, Suchita Trivedi as Kokila Patel and Mehul Buch as Chanpa Patel, PP's friend, are the only two, who stand out. There is some element of sincerity in their performances. They are believable characters.

Sunny Leone is there for the humph factor and she delivers uninhibitedly in 'full' measure, without any qualms.

Super duper sexy comedy
mastisunny11 May 2015
When a movie has the name Sunny in the cast list, expectations of the audiences doesn't go far. Kuch kuch locha hai made some space in the promos by its entertaining and really good songs, but still on the expectations it didn't had much fate. But dea as a director did a really good job and made loccha a Surprisingly Good Movie. Really Entertaining, I must say. Its a good pace movie with its own comedy, which should be credited to the writers. They have written a great, interesting, and a twisting climax. Seeing two faces after a long time was great,. And thumbs-up to ram kapoor for his performance , when you have considered to be as chocolate boy in raster years. Sunny has again done a hard working job to improve herself as an actress, and praise her for that. The most beautiful highlight of the movie is the Cinematography and Choreography of the songs. Hats- off to the person who is behind the camera. Specially comedy frames are really great. The colors and mood has been captured beautifully through out the movie
