Vader in Action!
A_Kind_Of_CineMagic12 October 2020
Following the great cliffhanger of Part 1 we get Vader in action fighting Kanan and Ezra. It is exciting to get the greatest character of the show actually in a lightsaber and force duel. If it was done to Clone Wars standard animation it would have been incredible but this still makes my heart beat fast, especially as we get the huge huge plus of the legendary James Earl Jones voice. Vader's villainy is brilliantly evoked thanks to this. We also get Vader showing his skills in a space battle.

The overall Star Wars story was massively added to by Ahsoka in Clone Wars and we get a major moment as she encounters Vader in the space battle. I am not sure they nailed it in the way Clone Wars did in the best episodes in terms of bringing the emotion out fully with beautiful writing and animation but it is still sufficiently well done and an important moment which adds to the overall storyline in a big way.

My rating: 9/10.

The Siege of Lothal: Part 2 Warning: Spoilers
Very good indeed, I think it'd be hard for anyone to argue otherwise, definitely one to remember. I'm farewell certain that Dave Filoni's favourite characters are Ahsoka and Darth Maul, as he brings them back and into every single piece of media that he can, and I'm not complaining as Darth Maul is my favourite character and Ahsoka is amazing as well.

And a solid follow-up

Warning: Spoilers
Man it was awesome seeing Darth Vader in action again. The dude is such a menace. I legitimately get anxious whenever any of the good guys are within the same Galaxy as him. His hatred and anger carries so much weight. It's dreadful...

I suppose the Jedi didn't escape too easily? Had the other Ghost members not been there, they'd definitely be toast. Very few them walk away unscathed in some way. The actual space battle was a lot of fun too, and I'm impatiently waiting for the Ahsoka/Anakin reunion.

The Lost Commanders

This was the episode that I had hoped to see in this series. I always liked Captain Rex and his 501st from "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" and I always wondered what happened to them. I'm so glad that they picked up from that storyline in the sixth season and actually kept them loyal to the Jedi. I loved the reintroduction of him and I think that his inclusion will leave a lot of interesting path ways open for upcoming storylines if the characters stay around. I liked the fact that Kanan would obviously distrust them as they were part of the forces that betrayed the Jedi back in the day, and there is a lot of things that needs to be done right in order for them to ever rekindle. There were some more childish elements of the episode, like the fishing sequence, but I even liked that as it provided some humor into the story, and it showed what these old relics are now doing with their lives. Personally, I don't think this specific arc needed the inclusion of the Empire to work, but I do think that the role they have in the next episode is going to be fulfilling and I can't wait to see what's going to happen.

Clone bores
Fluke_Skywalker5 October 2016
Warning: Spoilers
Plot; Ahsoka sends the crew of the Ghost in search of an old friend whose skill and knowledge may help them find a new base, and perhaps in their fight against the Empire.

After a solid start to S2, this was a rather dull and flat-footed episode that serves mostly as a bit of fan service for Clone Wars fans, of which I am decidedly not one.

There was some real potential here with Kanan's inherent mistrust of the Clones and the Clones own desire to not get involved in the fight against the Empire, but it's never used to its full potential. Instead we just get some glowering and pointless filler.
