Sex & Nudity

- As the title suggests, Maria must remain a virgin in order to be a witch. Her virginity is the topic of many conversations.
- A character is frequently seen bathing and sleeping openly nude, but we only see the outlines of her breasts and butt.
- Most of the female characters dress skimpily. One female character wears only straps that cover her waist and breasts somewhat, along with a pair of underwear that she can snap on and off whenever she wants. This character often talks about her sexual encounters as a succubus.
- An incubus character often laments how he was not given a penis with which to use for his sole purpose, as his creator has never seen one to know. Multiple attempts to use 'it' have left people shocked.
- During some of the pillaging scenes, soldiers discuss how they'd like to be with a woman. They are allowed to grab a woman they want and do what they will to her. The women are shown being grabbed and some are stripped, but overall, nothing happens as they are interrupted.
- A character discusses the virgin-checking of another witch, who was later burned at the stake.
- Two male members of the church are interrupted while they are having sex by a succubus. She attempts to seduce them, but she leaves when neither are interested. She later laments, calling their acts 'Greek sex.'
Violence & Gore

- Many of the warfare scenes are rather realistic, from armour, to the techniques they use to fight. Characters are shot with arrows, have limbs blown off by cannons, or are otherwise stabbed. Not particularly graphic.
- A girl is tortured and beaten when in captivity. Her captors later attempt to burn her at the stake.
- A girl is hit in the face with a rock.
- A character threatens violence against a witch if she uses any magic in public.
- A character is impaled with a spear. The spear, who can transform into an angel, is seen covered in blood and horrified after the event.
- A character sends his spear towards a witch, but the spear transforms, and simply knocks the girl out of the sky, wounding her.
- A character calls on mythological beings to frighten soldiers in battle to scare them away. They perceive a threat, and run, even though the intention is never to harm them.
- Two men fight and both end up badly beaten with cuts and blood all over them. One man nearly beats the other to death, leaving his face battered and swollen.
Profanity

- Minor words such as bastard, hell, or damn. Most other words are insults towards characters, such as fool, or idiot, or more specifically, words used to insult the witches, especially Maria.
Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

- Some wine and cider drinking, a character is seen drunk. Nothing grandiose.
- A character uses medicinal mixtures to help heal another character.
Frightening & Intense Scenes

- A character is put on trial and nearly burned at the stake. They show her torture and interrogation.
- A character is raped, though it was interrupted. The rape attempt leaves her defenceless, wherein she is captured and put on trial for witchcraft.
- Many of the scenes involving Archangel Michael are intense as he is just below god's authority, and has the power to do almost anything. His voice booms, and he commands obedience. You wouldn't want to mess with him.
- The battle scenes can be rather intense considering they are done in realistic ways. Quite a lot of death. During the siege of a walled city, many civilians are killed during the battle, and corpses are seen scattered about the city.
- An entire village perished due to the plague after they rejected a witch's aid. The village, which is nothing but a cemetery, is seen many times.
Spoilers
Sex & Nudity
- A character is nearly raped. Though it was not completed, it shocks her enough so that she cannot use her magic.
Violence & Gore
- During a planned rape scene, a character repeatedly beats the girl he is to rape before he chains her up and attempts penetration. He is interrupted, but the act left her scarred.
- A character is turned into salt for touching Archangel Michael.
Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking
- During a rape scene, the girl is drugged using a mixture, that when burned, will warrant her unable to defend herself. It works, allowing her attacker to beat her and chain her to her wall.
