Okay

First off I was very upset because everyone who was portrayed in the movie to attack the Israeli military was dressed in marine corps desert utility cammies and being a marine I was offended. Besides that the movie was very knowledgeable when it came to both science and biblical viewing of the blood moons. It was more of a documentary and I think that should have been made clearer in the trailer but it wasn't a negative side of anything. The movie was long and seemed to drag on a bit and seemed to be repetitive at some points. I would have enjoyed it more with better animations but I'm not complaining. Overall I was glad to go but I wouldn't go again

Hagee is sincere about Jews, but sincerely wrong about Tetrad & Joel 2:31
starlite-0300224 March 2015
Interesting docudrama, highlights the hand of God within Israel, and the Jewish people. Proves Bible prophecy of the restoration of the land of Israel belonging to the Jewish people took place in 1948. Good that they gave a platform to both scientists, historians, journalists Rabbis and Christian Pastors. However, the information Pastor Hagee tries to get across is grossly in error. He is trying to match blood moon Tetrads with events that involve the Jews. He's off on 2 of 3 examples he gives. While he says that bloods moons are astronomy and not astrology, what he is doing in fact is the very definition of astrology, which is to take astronomical events and apply them to human events and use these events as predictions. Hagee is trying to match this blood moon Tetrad (2014-2015) to bible prophecy.

As far as the panel discussion which follows the film, which I highly recommend listening to, the scientist wins the debate hands down. His understanding of both science and bible prophecy outshines Hagee's fundamentalism and irrational fears.

This blood moon hype is just that, more hype & sensationalism than substance. It's Astrology, pure and simple. If you're into that, then go see this film. While Hagee has a heart for the Jewish People, and he is sincere, he is however, sincerely wrong about matching this Tetrad with Joel 2:31.

No worth it
brucerenee25 March 2015
Some one just wanted to sell a book. The only one of interest was the scientist who stated if you put enough numbers together you can prove anything. I listed and watched but all it was is a bunch of mini stories without any meat. When they are trying to prove something they need to have dates, people who supported the theory, who did the results, etc.

They made a lot of statements but no proof nor any documentations other then I said it so it must be true.

Not worth the money plus they charged more for this showing then others. We also had to listen to the local pastor who got up there and was trying to get us to join his Church- not cool.

Ugh.
artzau-531-9788396 September 2015
I've no quarrel with "true believers." Freedom to pursue any ideology is part and parcel of our democratic system in the good US of A. However, when religionists line up a battery of so-called "experts" who are no more that other religionists, and in this case a pro-Israel agenda and try to pass it off with a patina of "science," that's when they step on the side of being egregiously offensive.

The entire episode is laced with fantasy, anecdotal reported incidents and in some cases, pure nonsense. Sure, I should have known that this would slanted but ugh! Why didn't they tell us it would completely topsy-turvy?

If you're a true believer, you'll like this movie. As a scientist who is pro-Israel, I hated it.

don't see it
willowdiamond2 January 2016
This is complete and utter trash and it is the worst thing I have ever had the misfortune to sit through (even worse than Mamma Mia! and I didn't think anything could get any worse than that). I'm only giving it a 1 star rating because that is the lowest IMDb will allow me to rate it. It. is. terrible. A bunch of narrow minded religious old white men sitting around discussing a bunch of b.s. I am no longer a Christian but even if I was I would find this movie horrible. I wanted to leave multiple times and the only reason I didn't was the people I went to see it with. You may get a history lesson out of it, but that's it (probably not even that, it's that bad). Please never give these people any more money for movies.

Pointless and deceptive
gudea12 September 2015
Alright, I rarely enter these conversations, but just can't pass by this one. I watched the entire movie, but have not read the book. I know the book's author, and can assure you he's for real. He's in the movie, is a Baptist preacher in San Antonio, and does definitely believe in Jesus.

That being said, here are some facts that might help any viewers or readers get a handle on the information being presented in the movie:

1. The claim is made that the Grand Inquisitor, Torquemada, was Jewish. That is not true. His ancestors may have been Jews that were forced to convert to Catholicism, but he was born Catholic and entered the priesthood of his own accord.

2. A total eclipse of the moon is always perceived from the earth as red tinted. So, all total solar eclipses are blood moons. Nothing special about the color...nothing special about blood moon tetrads.

3. For purposes regarding Judaism and Israel, the important information was that the occurrence of a tetrad is an indicator of something bad happening for Israel/Jews...not something positive and good. But, be that as it may, on to tetrads...

4. Speaking about tetrads...occasionally 4 total lunar eclipses will occur in a row. Since the year 2000 b.c.e. there have been 110 tetrads (up to the year 2000). Not all that common, but they do occur. For statistics purposes, the movie presents the data for only the 20th century, which is: 1909-1910; 1927-1928; 1949-1950; 1967- 1968; 1985-1986.

5. So, here you are...the only one of these 20th century tetrads that could be relevant is 1967/68, with 67 being the Six Day War, which was not, overall, negative for Israel. Using 49/50 is playing fast and loose with the data, as the state was created, and declared its independence in 1948. It's cheating, and bad science, to push the event into the next year. And that's it. THAT is the data on which a book, movie, and religious belief are based???

6. More tetrad fun: 110 tetrads between 2000 bce and 2000 ce...the entire span of what is traditionally considered Jewish history. Guess, just guess, how many tetrads there have been that have forewarned about any of these events: the Exodus, 13th century bce; David's conquest of Jerusalem in 1000bce; the Assyrian destruction of Israel in 722/721bce; the Babylonian destruction of Judah in 586bce; the return from exile in about 537bce, proclaimed by Cyrus of Persia; the Hanukkah rebellion against Greece (167bce); the BIRTH OF Jesus!!; the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem by Rome (70); the final war against Judah (the Bar Kochba Rebellion) in 132; ALL of the Crusades (from 1096 through 1272); ALL of the years of the Holocaust (1932-1945); and, just to add another, the Yom Kippur War of 1973. Go ahead, guess. NONE!!! No tetrads in all those events...not a single one.

So, if you're looking for data about this stuff, there you are. ONE...just ONE tetrad out of 110. That's, oh, 0.9%...you could randomly guess and score better.

Sorry to be so long, but people should understand that this movie and book are pure religious agenda, trying to convince a reader/watcher that the agenda (which is pretty much purely Christian) is true. All it takes is a little research, (which most people will not do), and one can tell that they're really a deceptive and shameful waste.

Don't let bad ratings keep you from watching this.

If you are interested in the Bible, God, the Israelites, and history I would suggest you watch it and make up your own mind. Yes, it's long, but you can watch it in parts which is what I did.

Quite Intriguing & Informative
deboralorion10 January 2023
I for one was quite intrigued. As of recently, I've been doing a 'deep dive' into getting to know God. I want to know as much as I can about Him. And just to be clear, I do believe that God does in fact, exist.

It's just that over the past year, I've had a very strong urge to investigate the Bible. I've been researching everything I can. Because I want to be as accurate as possible when it comes to planting God's 'seeds'.

I found this docudrama to be informative. It made me research the events spoken of. I feel that this docudrama was well done. However, I would have liked it if they had actual dates, and more data to back up what they were saying. Be that as it may, I loved the piece, and I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

I think people should research things for themselves. From all the research I've done thus far, I believe beyond a shadow of a doubt, that God's words have been tried and true.

Did these "biblical scholars" not catch the part of the Bible that condemned astrology? It'sa form of witchcraft, and we all know what the Bible prescribes for witches.

This is the most Jingoistic, Antichristian documentary I've seen in a long time.

Trailer more entertaining than movie
rabusa-4333013 May 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I thought this would be more like the Mars series on Netflix where they go back and forth from real events to drama acting.

This was a very long infomercial to justify the state of Israel. The blood moons are the signs from God that say the Jewish people should own their promise land.

I say everyone should live in peace and stop justifying war.

Hoping this review makes Amazon stop suggesting these type of movies. Especially when the trailers are misleading.

Total load of bullpoop. It's a 'Love Israel' promotional vid
gadgetgoober29 August 2015
Several men make appearances in this movie saying; "The Bible says this and the Bible says that and all kinds of Bible prophecy were fulfilled in modern times by the nation of Israel.

I know what the Bible says and you can't just pluck Bible verses out of context and use them to support a pet viewpoint. For example, many times when God speaks to Israel by means of the prophets he describes a lot of things that He will do for them if they will just turn back to him and stop worshipping false gods etc. To say that such a verse is a prophecy that was fulfilled in 1948 is really taking a trip off the reservation.

Also the star that appeared to the magi when Jesus was born was not a heavenly sign from God. These magi were astrologers, which was condemned by God in the law to Moses. God wouldn't give them signs. These magi were instructed by Herod to report back to him the location of Jesus because Herod wanted to kill Jesus and Satan was the one who wanted Herod to succeed. The star was from Satan, not God.

Don't let people who don't know the Bible tell you what the Bible says. Many Jews don't even accept much of the Bible as the word of God. The New Testament explains how Jesus death redeemed all mankind and after Peter went to the home of Cornelius, baptism by holy spirit came upon non-Jews and salvation was opened up to all believers. This meant that the Jews stopped being a uniquely "chosen" people of God. Sadly there are many seemingly knowledgeable so-called Bible scholars who promote personal beliefs and hand-pick select verses from the Bible to provide seeming support of these views.
