Significantly inferior

Warning: Spoilers
I was pleasantly surprised with the previous Lego DC movie but this one ditches the clever narrative and framing and gives us a very watered-down and simple story.

Bizarro (Superman's cloned opposite) tries to do good around Metropolis but ends up only causing mayhem and embarrassment. Supes then takes him to Bizarro World (get used to that annoying word because they use it as a noun for many things) where he can do no harm.

In the meantime the Justice League go about their daily crime fighting business uninterrupted. For contrived, and forgettable reasons, the League go back to Bizarro World to fight Darkseid who is threatening to destroy (or at least reconfigure) the galaxy with his opposite ray (or whatever it was) - turning the round moon of Earth into a cube, for example.

Bizarro clones his own opposite Justice League and you'll have a hard time remembering who is who because of their virtually identical names, which I am not going to repeat here because I simply cannot be bothered making the effort.

It's very poorly written and deeply uninspired. The first movie had its crazy moments it also had smart humor, while this sequel many just goes for stupidity. It's quick and it's easy and it's also insulting to kids who are capable of consuming a better story.

The movie is also void of any real atmosphere. The Gotham City of the first movie was on par with The Lego Movie in terms of detail and scope. Here we have a virtually depopulated Metropolis and an empty, barren wasteland planet. It's so boring to look at. You'll get no ideas or inspiration for building any sets from this, although Deathstroke's vehicle is pretty cool for all of the five seconds it is on screen.

Composer Tim Kelly also ditches the familiar Batman and Superman themes, instead opting to give us an extremely generic cartoon score.

This movie is pure filler, and ends with a cliffhanger for a 3rd which I hope will be a return to form.

Slightly above average but kind of pointless

Warning: Spoilers
Overall: The movie made me smile numerous times but felt pointless in regards to the rest of the LEGO DC COMICS SUPERHEROES franchise.

Good: The voice acting is good as is the animation. The film made me smile numerous times either with funny jokes or seeing various characters.

Bad: The movie feels pointless and more like filler content in the grand scheme of things. The overall plot is weak and simplistic but that could be good for kids. It also tries to pack in myriads of characters which feel forced in and tacked along to create action/drama.

Best Part: The scene where Superman and Batman are flying together talking about their identities.

Nice but could have utilized the Bizarro League better!

Warning: Spoilers
Troy Baker seems to be fitting the boots of Kevin Conroy as Batman ("Batman: Arkham City"). Nolan North was also brilliant in lending his voice as Superman. The chemistry of Batman and Superman was very nice. I like Batman suspecting Supes through out the movie. Those two really stood out in terms of voice acting. There are laughs for kids especially Lex Luthor stricken with lightening. Unlike most Batman movies, it is a tad on the light side . The fight scenes were tailor-made for the Justice League and the live action was fun. The graphics were dazzling! Khary Payton, as Cyborg, was overacting throughout the movie and was killing the script.

My significant digit score: 7.5/10

Lego DC Comics Super Heroes Justice League vs. Bizarro League: Another silly lego outing
Platypuschow18 January 2018
Oddly unlike all the other Lego DC movies this isn't feature length and only stands at three quarters of an hour in length. Honestly I'm inclined to say that's a good thing.

Here we see the Justice League team up with their "Bizzare" counterparts to foil a plan by Darkseid.

As you can imagine this is full of silliness and lacks the Lego charm I've gotten used to with the Lego video games.

I like the Bizzaro stories and was hoping this would rise above the mediocrity of the others, alas it didn't but still isn't the worst of the bunch.

Solid voice talent save it to a degree, but what a waste of Darkseid!

The Good:

Tony Todd

The Bad:

Some real stupidity thrown in there for good measure

Jokes miss more than hit

Things I Learnt From This Movie:

I suddenly badly want to see the Bizzaro league in live action

Same thing as above but for Giganta

Unnecessary...

i still don't get the idea that when you have a hit movie and one of the top so far on box office , so you try to sabotage it with mini movies like this !! there was some bits that you can laugh at , yet doesn't justify to make a whole 45 minutes out of it. i mean if you brought back "Emmet" that would'v changed something but again you knew it would destroy the character and make it boring till 2018 ;) !! To be fair, the storyline was flowing smoothly and there was no problem understanding what was going on. The story itself was not that strong, even for an animation but still we had high hopes , but it worked out somehow :P

In Bizarro World this is considered entertaining

Warning: Spoilers
Lego DC Comics Super Heroes: Justice League vs. Bizarro League (2015) 3 out of 10: Direct to video Lego Justice League feature (we are using that word loosely here) Involving Superman's relationship with Bizarro who is his clone created by Lex Luthor that is the opposite of Superman but in a terrible and idiotic way.

Shenanigans happen, and soon we have Bizzaro clones of all the Justice League headed to the Bizarro planet along with the regular non-Bizarro Justice League members. Then Darkside shows up to steal magic crystals and, even though he is a God, he apparently needs magic crystals for something.

The Good. Though I have some serious concerns with the production and art design the actual CGI isn't that bad with beautiful texture work on the fabrics and costumes.

The whole Batman secretly doesn't trust Superman cause he is an alien gag is getting old, but Troy Baker as Batman sells it well in this one. John DiMaggio also does an excellent job as Lex Luthor in a glorified cameo. Lex's running for president set piece is the funniest thing in the film.

The Bad: Remeber how Lego Batman would occasionally intersperse the funny meta jokes with jokes for the six-year-olds in the audience. Now imagine that but without the funny meta jokes. I know I am complaining that a children's cartoon is juvenile, but there is nothing here for the poor suffering parent or completionist fanboy.

Speaking of juvenile. I have never been a fan of the Bizarro characters and this film certainly has reinforced my prejudice against them.

Darkseid makes no sense in the movie. He shows up to steal crystals to power a bizarre ray to turn Earth into a cube? He shows up in the middle of the film as if they realised they had twenty minutes left and hey let's call Darkseid. He suffers from the Star Trek V conundrum. "What does God need with a starship?." I mean why would he need some magic crystals he is Darkseid

The Ugly: There are two entire locations in this entire film, and neither would pass muster as a level in any one of the hundred or so Lego video games. We have a Metropolis that seems small and underpopulated, and we have a cube planet that consists only of a flat, dull surface and irregular geometric shapes. That's it. Disappointing

In conclusion: Cheap looking with inferior art design Lego DC Comics Super Heroes: Justice League vs. Bizarro League suffers most from a weak story that is only 45 minutes long and still feels unnecessarily padded.

This is for ages 7 and up!

Lego makes movies for different age groups. Some of the reviews don't seem to get this point. This is a fine CHILDRENS movie. The animation is great and there's even inside jokes!

Simple, Straightforward, Frothy Entertainment for DC Superhero Fans

Breezy, superhero fun that's especially a treat for kids and adults who grew up on comic books. It harks back to a time that was simpler, more innocent, and campier – akin to the old cartoon shows based on these iconic characters. The animation, too, is more than decent considering that this isn't a staple DC, direct-to-home, video feature, but more of a commercial tie-in with a popular toy franchise.

Overall, if you're a fan of superhero movies, comic book enthusiast, or ever played with LEGOs, you're sure to dig this short-and-snappy home- video.
