Awesome, but two things:
itsjairusjames3 June 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Amazing episode, was choked up with tears, and the message sent was beautiful. But two things: 1: couldn't they have funneled scuba gear or a scuba breathing tube down long enough so that it would stick in the air so he could breathe the whole time? 2: the acting/writing for the dad in the end...my god. The guy who just saved his son walked in and he sat there. Was he told to "smile and nod at your wife the whole time"? Very cringe.

Truly Exceptional Christmas Episode
c3-116 December 2014
The Scorpion episode title of "Dominoes" is somewhat of a misnomer even though there is a strong tie to the plot. This episode is now on my top all time best Christmas episodes not only because of the strong Christmas theme but also for the plot line linking family with the Christmas miracle. It will be an episode faithful viewers can enjoy again and again, but even more telling about the joy presented in the episode is the fact it can be seen and truly enjoyed by someone never having seen any other episode of the series. Rarely does a series get so much better over a short run than what I have seen with Scorpion, and the Christmas episode moves the bar for viewer enjoyment to a new high while also setting a new high bar for Christmas episodes.

Vibrations
jeremie-148-33483521 December 2014
Warning: Spoilers
You can't run a water pump. Working with water pumps as part of my job, I can attest the vibrations would set off another landslide. Even if you had men hold the tube so it never touched the ground, sand, or rock around it, the people holding the tube, in which the water is pumping out, would vibrate. If you think running a water pump wouldn't vibrate an unstable pile of rocks and sand above you, Google it and see just how much vibration water pumps create. Better yet, go get a water pump big enough to pump out the tide coming into a cave, and see for yourself. You had to do everything precise. If you watched the whole show you would understand this.

A very emotional episode
DebbyNessie12 November 2018
Warning: Spoilers
This episode is emotionally draining. Seeing Owen in the cave and Walter trying to save him is exhausting. I do wonder about the logistics and whether they could have just put some kind of suction drain down the tube emptying out the water until the clamp arrived. Saying that, it was an amazing episode that fills you with Christmas spirit.

Spilers ahead! Smart guys?
sashko0210 January 2015
Warning: Spoilers
This series leave me with mixed feelings sometimes. It claims to be about people who are the smartest on the planet and yet sometimes they take interesting decisions. This episode shows one of them again. The use of the ECMO was a nice touch, smart idea! But I don't get one thing - how none of the people there (the Army Corps of engineers, police, fire department, drilling company and all 160+ IQ guys) didn't come up with the idea of using a hose through the access pipe/tube so the boy could breath even with sea water covering him? Overall good idea for this series but little things like that and some really wrong facto-logy every now and then (like flight from LA to Bosnia within 9 hours) is ruining it.

Poor Young Wyatt Oleff
alexobrienminiman31 March 2020
Is it just me or are the writers out for young Wyatt Oleff? Every chance they can take they make his situation more unbearable and painful. What did poor young Wyatt Oleff ever do to you writers?

Rhymes with dump
Mrbeefy16 December 2014
Warning: Spoilers
So there is a boy trapped in a sink hole/cave next to the ocean (btw a cave is a really good place to fly a kite which is what he was doing a few seconds before getting trapped). You have water coming in that will drown him. You have the Army Corps of engineers, police, fire department, drilling company, etc there within minutes to help get him out. You can get a cell phone to him through a 4 inch PVC access tube even before the drilling crew drills a man sized tunnel to reach him (which is before the water drowns him). He is unable to get out himself (he is stuck) and therefore you need to find a way to get his foot unstuck. You head back to your genius garage to come up with a genius answer to free his foot and at the same time you bring an ECMO machine back so you can PUMP oxygenated blood to him when he essentially drowns. HOW ABOUT RUNNING A WATER PUMP HOSE DOWN THE ACCESS TUBE AND/OR THE TUNNEL THEY DRILLED GENIUSES???????? Can't comment on the rest of the show since I turned it off in disgust.

Not so smart

Warning: Spoilers
They have a tunnel big enough to climb down but don't think to get some scuba gear down there, instead coming up with a way for him not to breathe. Totally ridiculous story.
