Many Fractures
veslerik30 December 2017
I don't necessarily think the acting is bad, but the script and writing are so awkward that certain scenes are simply bound to look out of place. I realize that Danny is supposed to be socially awkward, but his random, philosophical quotations are annoying and redundant. It's not as if they made any effort to make his character's quirks or personality traits consistent throughout the series, anyway. I had expected more from this show, but I don't think it's the actors' fault.

Lewis Tan fights Drunken Master style
jensmahlernielsen9 August 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The only watchable fight of the series. Lewis Tan is amazingly graceful and totally at ease fighting the drunken master style. Reminds me of the grace of David Carradine of the Kung Fu series. Only episode above 5⭐

Excellent

I love this TV show.

Can't wait for next season. Excellent job done putting the show together.

I love the mixture of medical and martial arts in the series. The actors all did a fantastic job. A very realistic and captivating show.

This episode has been the worst yet
abusby-0604830 November 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Let's start with a character that seems to show hop. Claire. I love the actress, but not liking this character. She is holier than thou in this show and it gets quite annoying quickly. When she was on luke cage, she didn't dare try and tell him not to kill anyone. But a big bad drug smuggling/dealing murderer is off limits to kill for her. 😕 😞

Danny- ugh. Does he even really know what he is doing? He leads by emotion and can't even fight unless he focuses his chi. And I mean, really has to focus. Let's stop in the middle of the fight to focus so I can win. Shouldn't you be able to draw upon that as naturally as breathing if you are this all mighty and powerful superhero from heaven?

Colleen- wow. She went from wanting nothing to do with him to being madly in love with him in 3.5 seconds the minute he said he took a vow of chastity. Really?

The drunken fighter- can you be any more dramatic? His fighting style acting is hilarious and so stupid you have to laugh.

I wouldn't recommend watching this series at all. The only reason I'm watching it is so I can watch the defenders. I don't want to be lost. But I won't continue to watch this after I'm done watching that

What is Chinese for "crap"
rudicantfail24 May 2021
The answer is an Englishman sounding like an Australian trying to act as a Chinese hardman. As for Finn Jones, his acting was as plastic as "made in China". Utter rubbish.

Worst Marvel show ever?
kurtrvader25 April 2017
This is the worst Marvel show I've ever seen. Horrible acting, horrible writing, bad kung fu... it's a bit of a given that a comic book show will have some cliché moments, but that's not the problem here. The Iron Fist, a man who trained most of his life, in heaven, to be the greatest warrior on the planet, is a whiny, emo brat who has the self discipline and calm center of a 14 year old who is going through their first break up. And that's just his character.. the rest of the plot and characters are all a mess. It's ridiculous and the only way I could recommend this show is with a MST3K type of viewing where you can laugh at how bad this show is while making fun of the Iron Fist.

1/10 absolute garbage.

Middling again
Leofwine_draca31 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Another middling episode. It's not the worst in the world, but it doesn't really impress, just going through the motions instead. The cast do their best but some of the chief performances remain awkward, although the final scene is better.
