Shooting POINT ZERO took 4 days, including one for the long barre knuckle fight scene between Alaa Safi and Afif Ben Badra. They were repeating the stunts one mouth before in order to give their complete performances in a single take.
The building pierced by a boat you can see in three differents CGI frames, is an homage to HOKUTO NO KEN / FIST OF THE NORTH STAR, the Tetsuo Hara's post apocalyptic Japanese anime that director Arthur Cauras is fan of since he's a kid.
Director Arthur Cauras made POINT ZERO as a war documentary; you see only what the hero Rashad can see, nothing else.
The savage called Mac who fight against the hero Rashad, is played by Gregory "Blade" Babene. "Blade" is a real pro-fighter in Mixed Martial Arts. Director Arthur Cauras know him since a MMA event called Xtrem Gladiators III, in which he hurts himself falling out of the ring with his opponent.
POINT ZERO is included as a bonus on the french bluray CYBORG (directed by Albert Pyun, with Jean-Claude Van Damme), released by ESC editions & Lionheart in 2020.
