Sex & Nudity

Violence & Gore

  • A pony throws petrifying energy grenades; three hit the Princesses, and one hits another pony. They all get better by the film's climax.
  • Mild fantasy threat and slapstick violence.

Profanity

  • A character mentions the word "booty".
  • There are no swear words in this film. This film is rated PG and it's a kids movie (recommended for ages 7+).
  • 1 use of 'gosh'.
  • 5 exclamatory uses of 'goodness'.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • It is very loosely suggested that the "cider" the ponies drink is alcoholic, simply based on some of their over-reactions, desire, the wooden ale-mug, and the frothy liquid itself.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Tempest Shadow was injured by a bear-like creature when she was young, the result was she lost her horn and got a scar around her right eye.
  • A massive and intense storm occurs when they return to Canterlot Castle.
  • The whole movie is kind of scary.
  • The overall movie is very dark compared to what you'd expect of a kids movie.
  • Technically G rated.
  • Twilight sparkle lashes out at pinkie pie in an argument in one scene.
